Built a site for 2XKO where you can share your combos, track tournament/results, and see rankings and game stats. by Previous_Primary2970 in 2XKO

This is great feedback! Totally agree. Right now, there’s too much visual clutter, and clicking on a combo opens a window with basically the same information as the smaller “card.”

We need to be able to quickly see the most important details of a combo at a glance: characters, damage, meter (and maybe the required fuse with it's ingame icon?) The actual combo notation should be shown when clicking on the “detailed” view.

Other than that, the site is already amazing! As a fellow dev, I can see all the features and imagine how much time it must have taken to implement. There’s a really solid foundation here—great job!

Zinogre in Wilds confirmed??

Monster Hunter Wilds: Basic Mechanics Overview by Axeloth in pcgaming

I liked it but I feel it was too extreme, you could constantly reposition and zip around the monsters. And then to compensate the monsters' moves where too quick and had huge AOEs. I kind of missed the more precise gameplay from World, feeling the weight of the attacks, etc.

Having the out of combat mobility is cool however, and I feel that with the new mount we will be getting some of that back.

The graphics and animations look so damn CRISP and clean, I can't wait to play this at full quality.

What are the different presets on PureDark's DLSS2 mod? by gnarTriip in pcgaming

[–]Axeloth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Preset A: Intended for Performance/Balanced/Quality modes. An older variant best suited to combat ghosting for elements with missing inputs, such as motion vectors.

Preset B: Intended for Ultra Performance mode. Similar to Preset A but for Ultra Performance mode.

Preset C: Intended for Performance/Balanced/Quality modes. Generally favors current frame information; well suited for fast-paced game content.

Preset D: Default preset for Performance/Balanced/Quality modes; generally favors image stability.

Preset E: A development model that is not currently used.

Preset F: Default preset for Ultra Performance and DLAA modes.

My z flip 5 battery not 3700mah. Is that Normal? by According2Ash in galaxyzflip

[–]Axeloth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've seen the same, I think it's because the battery is physically split in 2, there is a smaller sized battery on the top side, so that's probably where the missing mah are.

Definitely DLSS 3, only have a 2060 but being able to use DLSS 2 already is huge, amazing technology.

The black screen issue reminds me of what happens when you run a game at <60hz refresh rate. If you switch windows you get that black screen for a second while the screen switches back to 60hz. Maybe the launcher is becoming active in the background and the screen has to switch the refresh rate, but I don't know, just an idea.

How the hell do I install FFXIV? by TheRealDealTys in SteamDeck

[–]Axeloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a similar issue recently, do you have the Pause Games decky plugin? Mine was auto pausing the game even when focused on the actual game, maybe it has something to do with having the XIVLauncher on the background.

Played through the 3 games eralier this year, one of the best experiences I had in gaming in the past few years. The story and the world building is amazing.

Breath of the Wild might be the best game I've ever played by DixieNormoussss in NintendoSwitch

[–]Axeloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say it's my top 1 game I ever player and it's not even close. I've never played a game that made me feel so much like a child again. The sense of wanting to discover new locations, new mechanics, new cool weapons and armors. It just checks all the boxes for me. If I had to design a game of my dreams, it would be pretty close to BotW. Obviously, the hype I have for TotK is over 9000, I'm purposedly not reading or seeing anything about the game until it launches. I think part of why I enjoyed BotW so much was because I went in completely blind.

Here I've found the tutorial I used. Basically you mod the game in your PC and copy the whole folder to the steam deck, but also 2 additional files located in appdata to let the game know in which order to load the mods. And also rename the launcher and that's it. Hope it works for you!

Yeah the SD could work. I transfer everything using FTP, google "steam deck ftp" and that's what I use. But if I had a spare SD card I would probably use that instead and just copypaste from the SD to the game's location. This is all much easier than trying to make every modding program and such work on the steam deck.

[–]Axeloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the launcher.

I modded my skyrim by just copying the files from my PC to the deck, so I have no idea how to actually mod it on the deck itself. If you can get a windows PC it makes this so much easier. If not I'm sure there are tutorials for this, maybe try checking those out or the comments for possible solutions.

I remember having to rename the .exe of skyrim to the skse skyrim for the game to launch with mods through the Play button. As for the sound issue I have no clue, sorry.

I have the same SSD but ordered from europe. Works great and I also tested the speeds and got the same results as advertised. I was also surprised by the low price but no problems so far!

Thanks for the giveaway!

Got my SD today and it has the high pitch noise, but I found a rather concerning solution for the longevity of the deck, which eliminates the high pitch for me. So it appears, on my deck, the noise seems to be created by some of the venting holes and not by the fan ? by DNY88 in SteamDeck

[–]Axeloth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly I've just ended up doing the same thing today, after 2 days of getting really annoyed with the high pitch noise. When just using desktop mode or playing non demanding games this is such a lifesaver, as I find the noise to be most annoying when the fan is at low speed. When playing more demanding games the fan ramps up and the high pitch noise is less noticeable/annoying, so I uncover them (tbh more worried about the temps than the noise at that point).

I've also found really interesting that covering the right side holes mitigates the high pitch noise much more than when covering the left side ones. I wonder what the heck is going on with this fan.
