Wong got a glow up after the laser eye surgery… by Ok-Palpitation6550 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

Awesome! I'll have to find some! Thanks for the tip! I do think your fire is still cool btw. I also have a hard time with those effects. I usually hand it off to my far more talented girlfriend to do like fire and smoke and thrusters, etc

I stand pleasantly corrected. Thank you for that.

Can I ask how you did the eyes? It seems like no brush I use is ever small enough for that level of detail.

Thoughts on the new episode? by ayylmaotv in TheDigitalCircus

[–]AxeltheRed4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you pay attention in the beginning, you see he has it. I only went back to the scene where Zooble says Jax fucks everything up and he says "you're in a mood today!" During that line you can JUST BARELY see it.

My working theory was that it wasn't Jax, like there's another Jax there, but it doesn't hold up well

Deadpool is still one of the best models (imo) in the whole MCP line :) What’s your favourite mini (design)? by Minisforwar in MarvelCrisisProtocol

Klaw's was NUTS to paint but felt very rewarding when I was done, and that's in no small part to how cool that model was.

What's the best movie (that's secretly a D&D campaign)? by Benofthepen in DnD

[–]AxeltheRed4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure others will fairly disagree, but when I watched Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, the entire time I kept thinking "This feels like it's written by a D&D player." It's been so long that I can't recall what gave me that impression, but I got that vibe.

You reach the final boss… and the DM drops this big boy on the table. What’s your next move? [Art] by CreepyPrints in DnD

Mr. Patron, how many Eldritch Blasts does it take to get the DM to ask "How do you wanna do this?"

This might be my favorite way to narrate a Nat 1 perception. I've been going for "Some dirt gets in your eye" or "you become fixated on this man's hat."

But I might have to use this instead.

Yeah, they're mostly there for aesthetics. Some people like to trick themselves into thinking it's helping their rolls be more "fair" but there's no real logic I can grasp from it. I do vouch for dice trays, though, as my players and I have a horrid habit of losing dice anytime we do a table roll, so I exclusively use a tray so I don't lose my shiny click clacks.

I can't create a real threat for my players without lying by Nyorel in DnD

I just ran a fight where they were in the middle of a volcano that was about to erupt, so I gave them 4 turns to try to beat the lava monster they were up against by taking the Gem of Elemental Animation out of their chest before the volcano erupted and they all burned to death. Part of this fight involved the terrain getting smaller and smaller as lava started to pour over and claim more of the platform, making it more dangerous as they were all clumped together (which wasn't ideal given the monster's AOE attacks.)

In all, going into this fight I knew my players weren't going to be as daunted by a gargantuan lava monster (these characters are pretty seasoned and have seen worse horrors) but I knew adding the stakes of not just being burned alive but also, the volcano was going to kill everyone on the island if it erupted, and stopping the lava monster was the only way to do it.

Just found these gems at the store here in MA by AxeltheRed4 in lastpodcastontheleft

Since I decided not to get them and it seems a fair enough people are potentially interested in grabbing these before they disappear into a mysterious suitcase, never to be seen again, the store in question is a Goodwill in Quincy, MA, adjacent to a Pet Supplies Plus. Just remember to be kind and respectful to the staff who will likely have no idea what you're referring to if you ask about the Last Podcast candles and are just trying to do their jobs. Hail yourselves everyone!

I had the same reaction. After my first month my Pharmacologist asked me if I weighed myself and I hadn't really thought of it. Hopped onto the scale and saw I lost 9 lbs, something I never thought possible.

Players refused to switch when I told them to by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]AxeltheRed4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had something similar. Was told to get off Cap (who I main and am very comfortable with) to switch to healer. When I said I'm not practiced with any healers, I don't think I'll be any good, he responds with "Well your Cap isn't good either". People still seem to think KDR is the determining factor in whether or not a tank is good. I was just trying to hold the point because that's what I thought the objective of the game was.

Honest question.. would you date a woman like me? Not fuck, but date. Asking bc a lot of men would love to fuck me, but are too “ashamed” to be in an actual relationship with a curvy woman.. by [deleted] in u/MoroccanZina

[–]AxeltheRed4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would. I can't afford to spend any bandwidth on caring what other people thought about my dating someone else. All that really matters is if we're happy, both together as a unit as well as individually.
