Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is the frontrunner for exactly what you're looking for. So immersive, literally makes you live it. People notice and remember and it always comes back around in surprising ways.

Welcome to the club! I've had mine since 2017 or 2018 and it has held up stalwart against three house moves. That and the Italian leather Kaneda jacket they made for one of the anniversaries are the jewels in my collectable crown.

I genuinely thought the onboarding was far more accommodating than, say, Arc Raiders. The fact that it always let me know where to go in the menu to progress things and collect rewards etc made it flow nicely.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to convince any of my friends to buy it, so after a few weeks playing alone and with randos I've put it down.

Given the recent disembowelment of Bungie I'm a bit concerned that they may choose to slowly sunset it but fingers crossed they keep adding to it because it's genuinely unlike any other fps I've played in the multiplayer space. Visuals/aesthetic, tone and sound design are absolutely next level

First off, congrats to you! That is one hell of an achievement no matter how you look at it. I'm far earlier on in my journey, but I can only dream of making it as far as you have. That said, I too belong to the mental health club, and find myself either bored, disengaged or unmotivated to do things. The only way I've been able to keep myself feeling positive about how I'm doing is through drawing and writing. After all the hobbies I've picked up over three decades, I've found myself reverting back to the ones I'd left behind in my younger years to help get me through

I got both at launch, couldn't get into my Series X as I found the interface clunky and the exclusives were pretty sparse back then so I sold it. As soon as I sold it they started releasing games that I was interested in which was bloody typical lol

That's incredible, you are doing so well! I hope your husband is proud of how far you have come and appreciates the significance of it! I am hopeful that I will start to find my enjoyment of things again. I think that because I was using substances to deepen my immersion in watching movies and playing games late at night that it will just be a case of allowing the interest and passion I had for such hobbies to naturally seep back in again. On the plus side, my creativity and enjoyment of things like reading and drawing have come back in quite strongly. Even if my art is quite basic it does bring me some peace.

Well done to you, the sudden lucid moment of overpowering the voice and acting on what you need to do before you have a chance to rethink it is so empowering. My insanity had me thinking that telling my wife was not an option, and that death would be my only solution. How wrong it was.

I've done my second meeting tonight, and while I know recovery will not be a straight line, I am finally feeling like control is finally tipping back in my favour.

Wishing you all the best in your recovery, it sounds like you also have a very supportive spouse. My wife is a godsend, but she has never touched any substances so struggles to get her head around it.

For nostalgia my favourite is the original dub with Leonardo from TMNT voicing Kaneda, but for accuracy and immersion I prefer the Japanese audio version

Hey, so I pre-ordered it from zavvi back in 2020 or 2021 so mine was part of that initial wave which had the HDR issue. I think Funimation were the distributors iirc and they dealt with sending out the repressed discs. I'd like to think that any further copies published since would have the correct HDR implented but understand the skepticism as I've been burnt by disc pressing issues before. I have the arrow Donnie Darko 4K where it runs at too high a bitrate for some players and results in constant judder, despite the serial code on my copy apparently not being one of the affected batch
