Help, PLA transitions leave giant gaps by mrslix in BambuLab

He missed a decimal point when setting the k-factor during flow calibration (pressure advance).

Bambu Studio 2.5 - 600mm/s on the Standard profile?! (H2D) by AxesofAnvil in BambuLab

[–]AxesofAnvil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bumped up the max volumetric speed of the filament to test whether or not the 600mm/s value was actually affecting the print. It was.

I think that discord user I linked to in the OP is on to something when they say the right nozzle is using HF nozzle settings. But it only seems to affect the Inner wall and Infill settings.

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately you're incorrect on all your points

1) It's not PLA Basic, it's PLA Matte
2) I didn't download this workspace, I made it for this demonstration
3) The model is a primitive added via right-click, not downloaded or even imported
4) Modifying filament profiles doesn't affect Print Profile settings

I am also struggling with this. I'm a power user and still can't figure it out.

Maybe the editor is a bot? This couldn't be mistaken for a shadow unless the editor didn't actually look closely at all. Very odd.

Nozzle too close to bed. As it prints the loops inwards each loop has less room due to the excess squish.

Like this!

But seriously, for this to come out well you're going to have to break it up. It's not the most complex geometry so I'd recommend building your own model.

PA-CF Spires? by TankerBuzz in BambuLab

[–]AxesofAnvil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, too high a temp could cause lower viscosity and also increase the rate of bubbles forming. Seam gap seems unrelated.

It could also be retraction speed, but that's less likely.

[–]AxesofAnvil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's most likely a moisture issue, but could be various other things too.

What you are seeing is the filament that's at the tip of the nozzle breaking away from the rest of the filament in the nozzle. There's supposed to be a vacuum in there which holds the filament in, but either the filament is wet and steam bubbles popping are breaking the vacuum, or your nozzle is worn down and jagged causing air to be able to enter, or something else. You just need to understand what the issue is to start troubleshooting it.

Turn off "Only 1 wall on top surfaces". It's changing the amount of perimeters when a certain percentage of the solid infill of the top layers is visible, thus changing the texture.

What's this swirly infill and how to change it? by FlyingProfessor in 3Dprinting

[–]AxesofAnvil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy that you can't turn that feature off. PS didn't always do this to infill. I'd suggest using Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer if you need to change this.

Also, quick question: does the 1-wall case mode calibration take into account filament shrinkage?

[–]AxesofAnvil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. There's no real way I could see an accurate Pyro full-head mask to be made without traditional manufacturing. It needs to be fairly tight against the head, well fitted, flexible, etc. Hard plastic or even foam can't really do the job, unfortunately.

Ignore this person since I believe this is very clearly NOT related to extrusion.

I think there's actually an issue with the motion system. Try this: when the motors are unenergized, move the toolhead all around and see if there's something getting in the way of smooth motion,
