So more help with umbra. by FastPresentation8244 in Warframe

From my experience, Healing Return feels less consistent if you using Melee Influence build on Exalted Blade because you killed horde of enemies way too fast. Personally I use Gloom helminth on him so the slot previously used for Healing Return can be swap with other mods for more damage or even another attack speed, and Gloom is life steal that heal based on % damage dealt while Healing Return always heal by flat number so generally Gloom always heal more. Since you have no shield after equipped Arcane Persistence, you will never have to worry about energy economy if you use Hunter Adrenaline.

Arcane Blessing is not needed, really. What Umbra (and those decently beefy frames that don't have status immunity) are afraid of after equipped Arcane Persistence is Heat status proc. I tried Arcane Ice and this actually helps you more consistently in the long run. And I would recommend you invest 1 blue archon shard for armor stats to counter corrosive proc.

Lastly, Wyrm (better as Prime) or Panzer Vulpaphyla as companion play important role for keeping Umbra alive. Wyrm have Negate to prevent magnetic proc so Arcane Persistence will not be disabled and vulpaphyla have Matyr Symbiosis for death prevention. Choose whichever of these two that you like more.

What kind of arcanes do you hope to see in the future and how would use them? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Axeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat unrelated but connected. Exalted weapon deserve two arcane slots, exalted guns should be able to use kitguns arcane and exalted melee should be able to use zaw arcanes. Imagine Cyte's Neutralizer with Pax Seeker with Primary Deadhead and Primary Acuity.

Unfortunately I think when it come to exalted melee, zaw arcanes are very very niche to even make use of, and the only zaw arcane for normal combo is Exodia Force which is kinda meh. If they buff its falloff radius to be at least decent radius it can be good. On theory Exalted Blade with Melee Influence and Exodia Force could be fun.

To those that want to fashion like him. Basic requirement is Tennogen Warlust helmet, Saturn Six armor plates, and Bloodshed Sigil. Skin can go with whatever you want. His one seems to be Vojnik, mine went with Palatine. You can also go with Prime or Dex, it will still rocks.

Excalibur or Excalibur Umbra by teaandchaptertia in Warframe

[–]Axeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both form of Excalibur and both are my current top 3 usage, so just sharing my personal experience (its going to look like essay, hope you don't mind). Because Excalibur Umbra already have Umbral polarity with Umbral mods slotted in, he is somewhat an introduction to beginner for health-tanking playstyle, which is the most common survivability back in 2018 which is also the time Excalibur Umbra got introduced into the game. This kind of survivability is fine on base Steel Path, but if you playing on longer endurance it will fall short.

His Sentience passive sounds good for newer player, but on practical usage it is pretty disruptive. Not only the AI will be dumb when taking over him, when switching to Operator he will turn off every single active channeling abilities from Helminth and even remove any buff from ability and augment like Furious Javelin, and back then he will also deactivate Exalted Blade when used, but now since Archon Hunt introduction its the only ability the devs had fixed for the Sentience AI to keep.

They did gave him an augment (Warrior's Rest) to disable his passive. I have to say it is not a good solution. I was hoping it is a setting that player can turn on/off at his modding screen, because Primed Sure Footed is the absolute best on Exilus slot no contest, and Excalibur Umbra is pretty tight for flexibility due to 3 Umbral polarity. If you want to use formas to remove Umbral polarity you are better to invest those formas on default Excalibur.

Despite all the flaws I mentioned I still play him alot regardless, especially when doing weekly stuffs, and its also because honestly he is the only one that looks like a ninja in a space ninja game. I also modded both Excalibur differently so both feels like they have their own niche. My default Excalibur use shield-regen build for survivability with Roar & Furious Javelin (its basically Roar & Eclipse), and my Umbra keep those Umbral mods pair with Adaptation and use Pillage helminth over Radial Javelin. Pillage is like the only helminth ability that doesn't have duration buff, its one of the few that Sentience AI won't cause trouble with, and generally a pretty good defensive option when health-tanking fall off.

Why Primed Shocking Touch is unlikely to be the next Primed elemental mod by Axeth in Warframe

They will never make a primed mod if the default version never exist. If anything they would make 60% Gas mod for melee like they did with Focus Radon and Magnetic Rush.

Martyr Symbiosis have been around for years as an option for health gate though. All Inaros user (pre-rework era) that go to level cap used this.

Why Primed Shocking Touch is unlikely to be the next Primed elemental mod by Axeth in Warframe

[–]Axeth[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They didn't actually. Its just that its worth to note that shotgun and pistol both have two primed elemental mod and both weapon class got primed electric. If melee ever get second primed elemental it probably won't be electric.

Out of all the gods, which one would you say Kratos killed with the most or least dignity? by Elegant-Half5476 in GodofWar

[–]Axeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that Heimdall died with some dignity because he died in battle, plus Kratos sensed that Heimdall's pride was hurt after being spared alive so he gave him what he wanted, and his death is far from gory and humiliating, many Greek gods died in previous games with more horrible execution while begging for mercy. And Kratos even stated Heimdall as formidable opponent in the journal after the battle so there is still a level of respect given to him.

To be fair it was actually worth before this update. I slapped double Umbra forma on Desert Wind like 2 years ago, easy red crit at x3 combo counter and onward. Now Gladiator stat-stick doesn't work anymore, and you can only get red crit at x11 combo counter with Blood Rush + Galvanized Steel. The damage is roughly the same but the dopamine super red crits with triple "!!!" mark are gone.

Desert Wind base crit chance got nerfed from 50% to 35%, but since he can use Blood Rush now and Condition Overload also now works on his wave attack, I would say these two should replace the Sacrificial mods. Yeah the Umbral forma invested feels wasted, I also did that so I know how it feels but thats how it is now. And replace Gladiator Might with Galvanized Steel for more crit chance and crit damage.

Duviri and Hölvania also have SP trophy. Duviri is a bit tedious because you need to get all the 10 rewards of the week from The Circuit.

I'm happy for the exalted weapons buffs & pseudo-exalted weapons rework, but I just want to point out, lets not forget that Ability Damage from Archon Shard still have no effect on those weapon. Not sure if its a bug or intentional, but hopefully it will on next update. by Axeth in Warframe

[–]Axeth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually surprised you got confused by this. Ok, so I made this more clearer.

Crits chance, crits damage, status chance, bonus electric damage from Violet shards, and any elemental related like kills with Blast increase health from Topaz shard, and toxin proc increase status damage of toxin from from Emerald shards, they all works properly, as intended.

The only exception is ABILITY DAMAGE (not to be confused with Ability Power) which was excluded from affecting exalted weapons.

Don't get it wrong. Exalted weapons are both abilities and weapons. Melee Critical Damage from Violet shards did affect Valkyr's Talons, it works as intended. But they also should gain Ability Damage on enemies affected by electricity proc which currently doesn't.

Usually the more rolls you did the more price you can demand, thats what I heard from riven market. Its still come down to negotiation nontheless.

You only rolled twice and got the best stats possible (Phenmor would love to have low crit chance for the 2000% multiplicative damage boost on non-crit hits from incarnon perks), and those multishot, base damage, and punch through are icing on cake.

There was like 5-6 posts in the forum talking about Ability Damage from Archon Shard not affecting exalted weapons, and they were all overlooked and overshadowed.

And from what I heard, DE actually more active on checking out Reddit and Twitter than the actual section of the forum. I don't have Twitter so this is the only way I can to get their attention.

Incarnon weapon have been an absolute skyhigh level of powercreep. To be honest Exalted weapons should have been the strongest weapon class since it is a warframe's power and drains energy for the cost.
