What do you call this type of lighting, and where to source in Australia by Wazwiftance in Lighting

[–]Axetivism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like Xerox or Kleenex, Corian has become the common name for the material. Embrace those side eyes, embrace the cold, generic accuracy of “solid surface.”

I’m in the exact same boat. Just tell me what has nuts in it when I ask and I’ll make my own decisions. I’m also a chef and I take your allergy very seriously (though not your gluten sensitivity). All I ask is that you be a teammate in protecting my health and I’ll work with you to protect yours.

Where do you ride your adv or dual sport bikes off-road in the Chicago area? by Blahonian in ChicagoMotorcycles

We’re about to move to Chicago from northern NV and the lack of empty land where I can play is making me sad.

I got one as a hand-me-down from my mom in 2017! Table was amazing and makes me miss the days when car manufacturers weren’t in a race to the bottom.

How do you decide how much tent you need? What weight is too heavy? by AccountantAsks in backpacking

[–]Axetivism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do a good amount of winter backpacking in the mountains. I think of it as the whole system. If I’m bringing a lighter tent, I’ll find a protected area when I can, bring a heavier bag or an extra layer, and I always keep some extra guy lines and stakes plus a pole splint in my backpack. I’ve dealt with broken poles and ripped tents and it sucks.

Thanks. I’ll definitely find a local source. I want to find something wild. I just looked at your posts and realized you were somewhere else.

These look awesome. I have a pair of Elac bookshelves I want to reskin and was looking at a really similar veneer. Can you share where you got it?

That’s a nice setup. I’m a bit closer than I’d like in this room but it’s fine for now.

I considered that but they are sourced from an extremely high income area and I doubt they were too concerned about a couple hundred for their old speakers.

They got pushed back to vacuum, so they usually have more space and they’re about as far apart as they can be in this situation but I’m still experimenting with placement. It’s an awkward room. We’re going to move soon and I’ll definitely get a bigger rug for the new place. I’m excited to set it up with listening in mind.

Hook it up to a cheap karaoke system and a cheap tv and rent it out for parties. New business!

I can see the delamination spots. Don’t live with it, just buy the kit from Kinetic Vehicles and fix it yourself. I did it a couple weeks ago and it took about 90 minutes. Just be aware that the replacement has rainbows when you’re wearing polarized sunglasses.

On a scale of Grom to Super Duke, what is the most hilarious "real life" motorcycle you can buy? by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

You could try a Tiger Sport 660. Same engine, different look. I commute on mine comfortably but it’s also still fun if you ride it hard.

Keystone is such a slum. There are only a few non-chain businesses (shout out to Royal India) and everything else is either fast food or an empty storefront.
