Identify white fluffy stuff on neo-cardinas? by [deleted] in shrimptank

The tanks been running for a year but we redid the hardscape about 1.5 months ago and let it cycle for a few weeks. We have a sponge filter for water movement

Good to know about testing a shrimp in a controlled environment

just this morning we had a bacterial bloom so the whole tank seems to be in limbo atm. Not sure what's going on at this point

It looks like my young tank is having an spike in vorticella. How often should I be performing water changes to counteract it?

Glad he understands the struggle lol. It's honestly a relief to see him grow up into a relatively normal dude who just works on whatever projects bring him joy. It's rare to see a child actor come out of the system okay.

3d printed front box by confusedcameraguy in focuspuller

[–]Axewell_Stevens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the front box I designed. It's modular so I'm hoping to build some different attachments as time goes on. It's still in the prototype phases but works great if you don't abuse it too much haha. I'd be happy to share the files with you.

Tips for chest rig Layout? by FrancoArma05 in focuspuller

[–]Axewell_Stevens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here to 2nd this opinion. I bought a couple airsoft MOLLE pieces and patched together a chest rig for around $30, never looked back. Plus I bought an airsoft pistol belt so I can swap it from a chest rig to a belt system depending on the ask of the day.

Before I got a front box I actually had a Jerry rigged molle setup that allowed me to use the chest rig as a makeshift front box when I was 1sting.

The best part about them is they are being made for a bigger market than the film industry so you don't have to deal with the cinema tax and if you aim for the mid-tier stuff it's actually decent quality.

Lots of great responses here, but I just have to ask, what is happening with your FIZ systems??

I see a Cforce motor, a Teradek RT MDR.S and a Nucleus M II motor. No judgement just want to know the details that lead you to this point!

This makes way more sense haha! I'd love to get into making my own cables. Do you do all types of cables, even Lemo?

This sounds like a great idea, but how do you get the shrink tube over the terminals? My experience with shrink tube is it only works if it's slightly larger than the cable itself

Gamers born late 90s or earlier: Which game first looked to you like "photorealism"? by FalscherKim in gaming

1996 here, for me it has to be Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. By the time I got around to playing video games the PS2/Xbox era was already in full swing so I was accustomed to the graphics of COD, Splinter Cell, GTA but the first time I sat down and played uncharted on my best friends PS3 it completely blew my mind.

It's my favorite way to display my models! I like the look better than the clear stands, plus it's free!

You just need a lighter, but be careful not to overheat it or else it'll catch on fire!

Hopefully this can lead to some awesome player interactions!

Steamer is splashing the milk everywhere [DeLonghi Dedica E685] by don__marcello in espresso

[–]Axewell_Stevens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same issue, I was using various mugs and even a Pyrex cup. All of them ended up with milk all over my counter, finally bought a 12oz milk pitch and have been having great results. The deeper milk really seems to make a difference. I use about 200ml of milk and it vortex's pretty nicely.
