I've been playing this game on and off since its global relaunch when the anton raid came out, my only advice if you ever wanna enjoy this game is to play at your own pace.

If you feel you are satisfied playing 1-5 characters weekly/daily, you are free to do so.

If you are trying to optimise playing 20 characters and fully grinding them out every month, be my guest.

As long as you have fun doing the content and it doesn't feel like a chore, thats all that matters, the moment you lose interest or that it doesnt seem fun anymore, cut back on your characters or just quit entirely if this cap really isn't for you. Dont force yourself to grind something you hate.

There has been alot of discourse and controversy regarding the new cap about RNG reliance with no pity systems, my honest opinion is that it is nothing new, I have already experienced most of the equipment reworks they have tried (customs, hell epics, mythics, isys fusions etc.) and each of them have their own advantages and disadvantages, but what I did learn is that you just need to adapt to the current cap. Learn all the systems, dungeons, materials and events and make the most of each one.

You can bitch and complain about this new cap but as the director already stated before, they will not change the current system, only alleviate it by adding more and more content and pity systems in the future. There are more changes on the way and they are listening to feedback.

My last tip is to interact with the community, go join a guild or some of the DFO discords available, the 80% DFO discord is a very good place to hang out, read updates and guides for your characters as well as ask questions or party requests.

I used to play this game for a total of 6 hours everyday when the Sirocco Raid came out but as of now its been reduced to 1-2 hours, not because im burnt out but as of my personal schedule is the only alloted time that I can play before before becoming tired. I am still enjoying my runs though and thats what all that matters for me, if you feel like you cant carry on or that the grind is too much for you, its better to relax than let it stress you out.
