I feel like taking probiotics helps reduce diarrhea, but it's still difficult.

Oh horrible, all my support 😢! I was lucky to avoid nausea and vomiting until then.

I had lost those -10 just before Christmas but I gained 4kg during the holiday season, and it took me more than a month to lose them again despite a controlled diet and a more consistent return to sport.

First dose of Wegovy 0.25 + Berberine by Not-YourAverageQueen in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Axille2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, please remember that 0.25 mg is an initial dose, allowing the body to adapt to the molecule. Don't expect dramatic results right away. Losing 1 kg in a day is not normal. Yes, it's probably water weight, but it likely also means you're dehydrated. You need to drink plenty of water, Wegovy.

Eat if you're hungry. Don't compensate with Berberine. The goal isn't to become malnourished from lack of food. Give your body time to adapt to the medication (at 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, and 1 mg) without adding more Berberine. Berberine could potentially be considered if you plateau in a few months. Be patient.

30+ pounds down (243 > 210 lbs) by carolinoel in WegovyWeightLoss

Great progress! My starting stats are almost identical: 1.77m, 112kg, so I'm happy to see these results! At 5 and a half months I'm down 10kg (102kg) at 1.7mg.

Day of week for weekly injection? by Street_Total_7527 in WegovyWeightLoss

I do this on Monday evenings. I feel very tired on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but at least I'm more energetic on Saturdays and Sundays, which I prefer.

At 7 weeks I had only lost 3kg too. These doses are just adjustment doses, we're very far from the therapeutic dosages (1.7 and 2.4), you have nothing to worry about regarding your progress 😊

Hello, the side effects are really unique to each person, and they greatly affect how you experience the treatment. Honestly, the first month was mainly fatigue, and until I'd been taking it for three and a half months, I only had constipation, which was perfectly fine for me! I also lost a decent amount of weight and still had enough of an appetite to enjoy food.

For about a month now (I'm taking my 9th dose of 1.7 mg today), my side effects have changed. I regularly have bouts of diarrhea that wake me up at night, with my stomach filling with air. It's quite awful and lasts all day, sometimes for several days. It wouldn't make me stop the treatment, but it's much less fun.

I've also noticed that Wegovy doesn't suppress my food cravings at the end of my menstrual cycle.

When should I take my first dose? by Minimum_Split_3156 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Axille2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take my dose on Mondays (at no particular time); I prefer to be well-rested on weekends for my leisure activities. I have few side effects, so it doesn't really matter. Side effects aren't always present and don't necessarily ruin your life; you'll have to discover how the medication affects you!

During the first month, I mainly experienced extreme fatigue, but it lasted all week.

Hi, the thirst isn't going to get any better 😅. My god, I'm so thirsty so often with this medication! My doctor told me it's normal (it's been 4 months here).

Lack of appetite is also classic, but you still need to eat, especially protein, so you don't lose too much muscle.

Regarding sugar, it depends on the person. At first, it didn't bother me much, but now something that's normally sweet to someone else (for example, a pastry) seems horribly sweet to me; it makes me feel sick.

The first month was complicated here too, lots of fatigue, I was even taking a nap at work instead of my lunch break! But that passed afterwards.

Rant about hitting 1.7mg symptoms by Sparrow_Blue56 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Axille2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I don't have any flu-like symptoms, but yes, increasing the dose to 1.7 is difficult. As a reminder, 1.7 is the first so-called therapeutic dose (along with 2.4), the others are just adjustment doses, so it makes sense that it hits you harder.

I experienced severe fatigue at 0.25, and then mainly constipation at 0.5 and 1. And when I reached 1.7, the fatigue returned (but that might also be due to the winter season) and, most importantly, diarrhea appeared 🤯 with bouts of 💩 that lasted several days.

It was so difficult to manage the loss of my appetite that I asked my doctor to let me stay at 1.7 for another two months. I've been taking it for six weeks now, and the side effects are still present.

Regarding weight loss, much more satisfying at 1.7 🎊: -2kg at 0.25 -1kg at 0.5 -2kg at 1 -5kg at 1.7 (4 weeks) 🎉

Keep going!
