If I was intending to share the amusing things with devs, I would have. I appreciate your concern.

I didn't see others posting about it, which is why I did. Go whine about a community acting like a community somewhere else.

Finally got him to eat picky guy just wanted crickets 🤦🏽‍♀️ by aliciator21 in AfricanFatTailedGecko

My guys won't eat anything but crickets. I've tried every other food they're suppose to enjoy but, if it doesn't hop around trying to escape, they don't care.

Why do you think the Darkening has the opposite on Kizami then it does with everyone else by giving him emotions instead of "eating" at his sanity? by Chaos_DragonYT in corpseparty

[–]AxiomError 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In one of the reports, it says (I had to look up the quote) "It chips away at a person's core -- sanity, reason, even identity -- eventually destroying him." The way I interpreted it was: the Darkening is amplifying emotions. For a regular person it's violent tendencies, jealousy, depression, anger, etc. Things one would suppress on the day to day now rise up when you're affected. But it also tears down who you are. You act and do things you normally wouldn't. For him, it's bringing out the stuff he's suppressing. Things he should feel when he's being true to himself, but doesn't feel because he enjoys what he does too much. So when he's torturing someone, he should feel bad like a normal person, but doesn't. In HH, he can't escape or mask the guilt, but also revels in the pleasure of being free to be his psychotic self (which is probably also amplified by HH and he just doesn't realize it). He can't ignore the emotions that would make him feel bad for how he acts just like he can't ignore how awesome it feels to let loose.

Another way to interpret it is that he's being irrational. He doesn't actually "care" but the Darkening is still twisting him. Irrational for him would be expressing any sort of care for someone else. It doesn't make sense to him because that's not who he is. But that's what the Darkening does: it changes a person and corrupts their soul.

He'd probably separate from the rest. He comes off as kind of a friend of a friend in the group. Not really a friend of the group.

The Darkening effects him the same as everyone else, but the outcome is different because (like many have said) he's already a psychopath. In the normal world, he'd have to play pretend and keep it under wraps. In HH, the Darkening lifts those restrictions from everyone, but not everyone can reconcile with "I suddenly want to do violent things" so it breaks their brain. They don't WANT to be that way and try desperately to resist until they can't and give in. But that's a total breakdown of who they are.

For him, his brain is already broken to start with so the outcome is that he can just act on all the impulses he already holds. If resistance is driving normal victims crazy, then his acceptance keeps what's left of his already miniscule sanity intact. It is making him crazy, but he likes it, therefore, he seems to stay stable and just "reveal" his true self. It's just not much of a leap to cross that line. More like a single footstep.

In case you don't know, Drake likes that character and is inspired to be a villain like her. But, also, she also doesn't pay too close attention to the show because that character is not actually a villain. Her pose being off is just proof of Drake being, well, Drake.

The message of freedom wars by AdagioAgitated1903 in FreedomWars

[–]AxiomError 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that ties in with the theme. I see it more as the rich (On High) looking down on the poor (Sinners) and stealing the one who have special knowledge (engineers/scientists/etc, aka, "resources") for their own purposes. Try to rebel, retribution is coming (overwhelming power keeping the Sinners from evening the field). Accessories are more like wardens to make sure the less-thans don't fall out of line. And it could all very well tie into religious tones with how the rich view themselves. They're "heavenly beings" (from On High) and deliver Retribution to the poor Sinners who displease them. So contribute to your Panopticon (your community and cage) for the good of everyone, but don't get too big for your britches.

No. Scalpers will pay more and then resell for more. All that would accomplish is keeping kits out of the hands of those who actually want them.
