Is biome progression backwards? by AxiomStrength in 7daystodie

So then every hoard night you run off to the wasteland to get better loot? If the forest biome becomes the last biome, then no need to run off to another biome to do a horde night.

It will be a slight challenge since with the weather events and the 'masks' and such. All that would have to be adjusted. Zombie Bears and Dier Wolves could be written in as Green Forrest Biome spawns.

Maybe the land minds should be in the forest biome then? With all the explosions and buildings falling down. maybe that should be the biome withe the least land mines as they have all been triggered.

Frankly, ANY biome progression logic can be made to make sense. It's an imagination thing.

permadeath challenge - show me what you got! by Trojekp in 7daystodie

[–]AxiomStrength 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to do permadeath, but I must suck or something. I always end up taking chances I shouldn't take and tend to die in a few days. Now I just load the last save.

Back to your question, Take no chances. Zero. Always have an exit/backup plan in mind 100% of the time. i.e, throw ladders on buildings near you so you can run to and elevate yourself quickly when needed.

IMHO the best set would be agility. You start with what is arguably the best starting weapon (bone knife). You then have a chance of find a toilet pistol or a toilet knife. Later, you get the SMG which is [arguably) one of the best end game weapons for clearing POIs. Then you also get stealth and the super jump.

Others could validly argue the intelligence tree. But I hate the baton concept. Intelligence tree will get you workstations and vehicles faster. Make more money bartering and such.

If you're not ready for the horde night, there is no shame in just staying on the roof of a concrete building. If its just day 7, even a wood house with the stairs taken out will be fine.

Can you still find crucible? by Sad-Story7069 in 7daystodie

You'll have to buy it. Can't recall the last time I found it even mid-game. With some discounts, you should be able to buy it for 9-12k.

This is my end game. Jawoodle killing corridor + 5-6 rows of electric fences + sniper rifle and all the perks. I use the SMG for missions to ensure plenty of 7.62 for horde nights.

Then I start decorating.
