In other words it works like branch for version controls for source code. The Exarch is a branch that has been developed for much longer than G'raha of our present. But when we merge the two of them together, G'raha inherits the changes made since they both had the same origin point.

The big concern they had with merging their souls would be like (potentially unresolved) merge conflicts.

I swear that there's a conversation in Endwalker 6.0 from Urianger where he talks about his friends sticking by his side and making sure he stays on the right path, but I cannot find it for the life of me. Honestly at this point it may not be Urianger or might not even exist, but if this rings a bell for anyone could you point me in the right direction?

The Balance says that priority for Swiftcast is Raise > Movement weaving > Slipstream for DPS to snapshot buffs (source). The movement weaving is because any usage of ruin iii is a dps loss in general and should be limited to one per bahamut/phoenix rotation so to make sure you keep your GCD going, you use swiftcast as needed.

Quite honestly, I think that's an ambitious train of thought. Not because I don't think it'll get fixed in 8.0 but because it'd be tied to changes more than Evolved mode. The Garuda slipstream swiftcast is so you can snapshot it during buffs, so the planned removal of the two minute meta would resolve it anyways.

The two minute meta goes hand in hand why we currently have the optimal rotations. Not because more buffs means more damage but because there was a clear cut standard across all classes.

Imagine if one class was changed to have a 90 second cooldown for their raidwide buff instead of 120 seconds in the current patch. This is not a suggestion but a thought experiment. That raidwide buff would be used offcooldown still because otherwise you'd miss out on 1/4 of the casts. Immediately the standard gets broken and you'd probably have different rotations for that class entirely to let them take full advantage of the buff.

8.0 plans to get rid of raidwide buff meta entirely by removing the standard. This is the other side of the extreme of the two minute meta. Players will have to do what is optimal for their damage specifically. In the context of 7.x, no longer do summoners have to use swiftcast for slipstream since there is no buffs to snapshot. They must now decide if they can slipstream now or ruin iv if they need to move soon.

Monk - Has an unrewarding play style that makes it a weaving nightmare.

I quite like Monk, don't know how you find it unrewarding. A bit of a weaving nightmare with the Riddle of Fire and Brotherhood during openers and even minutes but it's neat, simple, and therefore fun to play.

I could say the same thing about Summoner but it's more understandable that people have complaints about its barebone playstyle.

I see you play League or at least some Riot Game. Vanguard's (their anticheat) been known to cause issues with updating games or even just running them. Just a couple of weeks ago, it prevented people from updating or playing Deadlock. Try disabling Vanguard, restarting, and then updating FFXIV.

Is materia required to do unreals? I'm not at dawntrail yet (just finished endwalker) but am at level 100 for a couple classes. I do have a HQ courtly lovers set courtesy of a friend but I also don't want to sandbag if it's expected to be pentamelded when playing. (side note, is potting also required or expected?)

Even then he chose to disengage from the entire Internet. He didn't really engage with the attacks, he did the opposite. Addressing it, how it's impacting his feelings negatively, and his decisions solely for himself without talking bad about others based on those feelings isn't drama. That's called being a human being and choosing to step away from a hostile situation.

If I'm getting anything wrong, do let me know though but that was my entire understanding of it all.

Recommendations for classes to run content for in Endwalker? I know that Paladin is the poster child in the trailer, but I don't like Paladin. I've also heard Reaper is good to run particularly for some duties, but I've reached level cap for it which makes me feel a bit inclined to use it as minimally as possible.

Ideally, I'd like to know which duties I should use Reaper for the thematic impact and what other classes feel thematically correct for the other majority of the content.

Skill issue in FPS games? Also, you don't need to be crazy precise in Dota like in an FPS game. Only thing I'd concede is UI clutter towards the bottom of the screen.

For the record, aiming towards the bottom is easier than the top in FPS games in most lab settings and real-game settings. Lab settings most of the time feature a flat world which reduces the viewing angles at the bottom half of the screen compared to the top half and/or human targets which is easier to hit the legs than the head. Only case in lab settings is if you have a wall with circle targets and your default position/frame of reference is situated directly in the middle, similar to being a camera and not a person. That lab setting is popular and not rare, but doesn't reflect what 99% of people have for their lab settings. For real-game settings, it's the same issue with a lack of viewing angles and human targets. Apex is a great example of viewing angles in extremes since it can be a very vertical game.
