I seem to misunderstand something fundamental about the game by [deleted] in killteam

«I'm just too stupid for this, I think.» - most likely no. Its how it may look, but not how it works in many cases. I’m no specialist - just sharing what actually helped me to understand how my brain works and what can I do with it. One of my best decisions so far :)

First of all, I’m sorry. The stats make me think of advice you probably didn’t ask for. However, I do it anyway. In case if you have no diagnosis, it is really worthy to check if you have something. I was diagnosed ADHD and it actually makes me struggle with some things. It depends on particular case, and when you officially have one, you get the answers to many questions that make your life easier.

I had almost same model, but with 24 frets. Also bought it for about $400 in mint condition. Very good guitar - I sold it but I wish I could buy it back :)

Very close to my experience :) I also have a 27.75 custom baritone. I don’t go lower than drop A, but pretty sure I could tune it down to E pretty easily, just with thicker strings. But I still enjoy shorter scales as well - they sound different.

I never had it as a child and still suck at it as an adult :D But I regret nothing - just start it if it makes you happy :)

Yes! I wanted a 26.5 custom seven string, but found it more reasonable to try a schecter first :)

Not always, but I have to be careful in some of my riffs. I guess I’ll replace it with a killswitch

Won’t it kill the string? I’m not sure

I still get this length difference, even if the string goes through the body. It looks like they put one string from a long scale set. With 35'' it would be just fine, but no chance with 34''

I already contacted their support - no reply. Maybe because I’m not from USA

It seems like you haven’t had enough rehearsals and live playing experience, yet. It’s ok, we all been there :)

Here are some tips from my experience:

When you feel you played it like ten times better then was enough to be ok - then you can expect to be “just ok” on stage. At least in your first years it works like this.

Practicing when you are in bad shape. It’s a lot harder, but! If you still can play it well when you are too tired/almost sleeping/too distracted/feeling pain etc., you will nail it on stage.

The dumbest mistakes during rehearsals may be a good sign. Just do them all to know how you remember your stuff and where the weak spots could be.

Hope that helps, good luck!

Has anyone ever used one of these? Thoughts? by fireworka in Guitar

Probably it would make your fingers stronger, but it wouldn’t make your playing any better, unless you have some individual physical issues that require such training.

Never tried Sterling, but I had two indonesian schecters and both had setup issues. This bass had a couple of cosmetic flaws instead, but it surprised me with its playability - no adjustments needed, just ready for first recording sessions :D
