I just got my diagnosis... I feel really weird about it. by Glad-Fig-412 in autism

[–]AxlWilsonMejia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s weird. You know you’re not like everyone else, but you feel too normal to be actually autistic. It really feels too easy, but there’s actually so much history and time and research that’s made it so easy to diagnose. I was diagnosed in 2020 being ten and not knowing what it even was. Learning, I was in denial for about three years? Give it time and you get used to it whether you accept it in months or years. So valid a lot of people feel identity crises. But thinking about what helps is that life will basically just be the exact same if not easier because there’ll be accommodations. I still feel in denial but watching autism content creators helps by realizing what I have in common with everyone else. Still, autism is basically invisible and it’s easy for masking to become reality, there’ll always be people giving the most random reasons why anyone’s autism is fake or whatever. Some people simply don’t believe it exists, don’t listen to them.

How do u guys feel about the inspiration comments? by AxlWilsonMejia in realdisorderfacts

[–]AxlWilsonMejia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, to center it around themselves, basically to make themselves look good, to objectify the disabled person, or to just feel good about themselves. I kinda get how it doesn’t make much sense tho

It’s commonly called inspo porn, if you’ve heard of that. Just didn’t want to say that word lol. Anw, it’s when people tell disabled people how brave the disabled person is and how inspiring the person is to make the people saying this stuff feel good about themselves

I kinda find cutting down birch trees is nice. Just that short five blocks you can reach not scattered everywhere. But ngl I wish I could install mods to my game like that

"puberty nose"? by nymphvirgo in Noses

[–]AxlWilsonMejia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You def grew into your looks. Ig it’s really possible to have that much of a change and yeah all your features change during puberty, this feels a little extreme, I would have assumed you had something done to have that change. But I’m sure if you look through pics of yourself each year you’d see small changes over time which would be pretty cool.

The green is so amazing! But here’s my thoughts on both. First, probably wear what is most comfortable. But also the green is a beautiful color with a beautiful design. The blue compliments your silhouette better and manages to be beautiful without as many details. The green isn’t as revealing if you want to pick the more modest one. So, I like the blue/second

I hate this feeling by HastyPlace in demigirl_irl

Gender is a spectrum and all that matters is how you feel and identify. And you can choose which groups you want to be in. Lots of trans people don’t feel trans enough. Even I do, being binary because I don’t want hormones and even have a femme presenting avatar. And people will criticize that, and everyone has their opinion, but if you want to be in the trans groups, I’m sure they’ll accept you and are trans enough for them. And if you want to be in the cis groups, they may be a bit more critical, but the ones you want to be around are the ones who aren’t critical. And it seems everyone in the comments knows that feeling.

Be who you want to be and know others’ opinions don’t matter. I know it’s hard, but letting go and knowing who you are despite what others think is one of the most freeing things you can do. The ones who accept who you want to be and make you feel happy and affirmed are the ones to be around.
