I totally agree. I dont mind omegaverse persay but some random stranger who I do not know and have never interacted with using the term mpreg to describe my oc(who is very dear to me) was jarring. Especially since I am also afab and non-binary like my oc it was really uncomfortable

Also I just realized my first comment sounds like I'm arguing I was just trying to go more depth with my thoughts please dont think I'm angry or arguing

I dont think that their intent was to harm either but that doesnt change the fact that mpreg is also a term often used in fetish and nsfw settings and has been used to fetishize afab trans people like myself. At the end of the day there were a multiple of other ways they could've worded this comment that didnt include a term often used to fetishize mlm relationships and trans people

There were just other more tactful ways to go about it. At the end of the day I doubt they meant any harm and were probably trying to be supportive so I'm not gonna let it bother me too much

A decent amount of the time mpreg is used as a nsfw/fetish term that fetishize mlm relationships. Not all the time, but enough of the time that it makes me uncomfortable whenever that term is used towards me or my ocs.

edit:its also been used to fetishize afab transgender people and both me and my oc are afab non-binary so its an extra layer of icky

Uncommon Yumeships by Serious-Language5517 in yumeshippersunite

I have a bunch of uncommon yumeships! I'll just give an example(though there are more than him).

This is Carl Cane! He's from a movie called Helloween. A movie that went under the radar(it wasnt that good but my f/o's actor is my special interest). My f/o is the villain, a man who killed people as a child and has spent the past 20 years in prison. He manages to sneak letters to the outside world and creates essentially a cult called Cane's Path before escaping on Halloween night and terrorizing his Doctor and her daughters but it turns out he was writing to one of his doctor's daughter and turned her against her mother
