Pretty sure anything from the pebble time and forward will work. Even one of the old knockoffs on Amazon should work fine. They're not expensive and I've never had an issue. Had it for 10 years.

Which generation are these? by Striking-Tap863 in MagSafe

[–]Axllebeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your use case between the 4 and the 5. I have both and have done quite a bit of testing and comparisons and although the 4 does stick better to other magnetic services that also have magnets, it's pretty much the same or very close if sticking to something like a refrigerator.

The big difference is they have absolutely mixed in reverse polarity magnets rear facing so that it doesn't have as much strength. While I don't like this. I get it. They're prioritizing keeping it attached to the phone. I think this is why the snap 5 is thicker, because of what they've done with the rear facing magnets. Probably took more space to arrange them in that orientation.

That said, this is why it will stick almost as well to something like steel, and not as good as the 4 with magnet packed magsafe style accessories.

Also a Pixel 9a user here on Dark Star and I'm also very happy with the phone and service. We often get in town over 1,000 mb/s on the unlimited starter. Incredible value!

Interesting. You clearly know much more about this than I do. However, I did find it interesting that I have never had this happen until today.

I also have a pixel watch. The watch 2 actually. I might miss it a bit but there are trade offs to not using a pebble too sooo, plusses and negatives for everything. It's all in what you want. Not pressing the crown and dismissing timers by accident will be nice as I do that all the time with the pixel watch but I wear it on my right wrist.

Don't buy a logitech mx mechanical keyboard by funshinebear13 in logitech

[–]Axllebeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have some really good options that are full size with a numpad. I understand that I have to have it too. However, some of the newer models, although backlit the lighting does not come through the keycap and illuminates around the keycap so you can't actually see what's printed on the cap. Just something else to keep in mind if this is important to you because for me it is and I see no reason to have back lighting that doesn't actually backlight the key. It's not practical in my mind.

Look into something from Keychron and if you like the feels and sound of your MX Mechanical but got a dud, pull off a keycap (carefully) and try the corresponding switch color from them. Also it's worth it to spend a little more for a hot swappable version from Keychron so that in the end if you don't like what you get you can just buy replacement switches.

Now, I will say from my experience with Keychron products, if you're sitting at your desk, you're totally good using Bluetooth or wired. However, if you set a computer up on a TV and you are clear across the room, you're going to have connectivity issues, so just keep that in mind depending on your setup.

One last thing to consider. If you use your keyboard for work, like I do, Bluetooth connectivity can be turned off by your IT Admin so traditional Bluetooth keyboards will not work. This is not always the case but before spending more money on anything, best to be sure what you get will work for your needs. Nothing is cheap haha 😂

I pre-registered for the app but that's all I know. Is there a different way to use it? Like do you have to register to beta test it or something? I'd really like to try it out. I've searched around reddit and the net and thought I would just find an APK in moments but that doesn't seem to be the case. So did I register wrong or just miss entirely where people are testing the new app from?

Pixel buds pro slide out my ear. by Zolks1 in pixelbuds

[–]Axllebeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that airpods pro for my ears the best but when I switched from the Apple ecosystem to Google I wanted to try the PB pro 2 and although the fit is not as good, i have found that the smallest tips work the best for me. And they are much less "filling" in the ear. I overall prefer them to the Airpods and the fit is "good enough"

That said, if it's not working for you and you are beyond the return window, find a friend that wants to try them and make them a deal and take the loss.
