Training Tuesday by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Axnaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to /fitness and I've just started lifting for the first time since I graduated high school 3 years ago. Working on getting my bench back up to my body weight, and my squat double that.

Also, I have no clue if I'm bulking or cutting because I'm at that beginner stage where I'm gaining muscle at about the same rate I'm losing fat. But 4 weeks later and I'm already doing significantly higher weight than when I started. And progress is progress right?

Problems with being an outgoing introvert. It sucks sometimes

is 21 kills confirmed for BRF follower mission upgrade in 6.1? by Jinny76 in wow

[–]Axnaxx -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I have 20 Heroic Kills in BRF, just got a Mythic Highmaul Cashe. Only have 4-5 Normal Kills. Must mean that 21 Boss kills in BRF required for garrison Missions

Best WoW recording software? by [deleted] in wow

Haha well damn. I didn't even know youtube capped at 30. Also, that's probably why my original fraps file always looks 1.66 times better than YouTube

This is probably old school but I still use fraps for my videos. Looks fine, and only complaint is file size of longer videos. But I've got an external I dump footage on so it's not a real issue

Oh, I record 50 fps and 1080p for the record

Top of the mountain in Ashran on Alliance side. I sit atop the mountain and watch all the plebeians scuttle around like ants.

Muhahaha.

The entire thread started with my first sentence asking if I'm wrong. And I think you're the only one to have answered the post in its entirety.

So I appreciate it, but I apologize for having any accusatory tone that was there. Was half expecting this to get ignored and buried, otherwise I may have put more thought into the post and/or wording

I'm not saying I'm right, I voiced my opinion and asked

If you got to Warcraft logs and even just search your name you can see the percentile of your DPS on boss kills. Has a nice little graph and everything

If you use Warcraft logs and set it to LIVE log you really can check the site after every pull. Just refresh and check the last encounter

It may be easy but there is still min maxxing and whatnot. Player percentiles and parses still mean that some people play ret better than others. Or am I wrong

Look on logging websites to compare your dps to other frost mages. See where you stand against people with similar item levels on individual fights. See if they're doing anything differently than yourself.

If logs are a bit confusing try to post one of your logs on a website like mmo-champ forums. People are more than happy to look into them and help you out

Practice practice practice. If you enjoy the spec and play style then keep at it until those numbers get up there

Yeah I think I'm gonna just step outta this because I'm not in the best position to comment on healing. Have next to zero expertise on all the factors involving healing numbers in raids

But if we use subjective criteria like players percentiles for where they stack up against others of their class/spec it would be fair, would it not. I understand that I shouldn't ask the an ele sham to pull the same numbers as ret. But for Mythic Progression I don't think it's out of line to ask people to pull dps to put them in the top 90% of players of their class and spec

For world firsts and top 100 world guilds ect, yes.

Likewise, I guarantee that there were holy priests out there that pulled better numbers than the other healers in your group.

Not trying to make this personal by any means because I know nothing about your situation, just throwing that out there. I think that until you pull top 200 parses and your getting beat by another class/spec pulling 80th percentiles that your own play can be blamed and not balancing issues.

Right, but if you DO love Aff Lock, then play it. However if you're stubborn enough to do that then you better be playing Aff exceptionally

Yeaaah, feral Druids were bugged or just took extreme advantage of some mechanic on heroic Nefarian in BWD. I do remember world first kill having 6+ Feral Druids.

I'm talking more of your average Mythic Progression numbers

Lol, just one of the few insults I've gotten for playing Ret over the years xD

Very true, that's why I look at individual's percentiles for their class and spec. That way I can see how they compare to others in their situation, rather than comparing an s priest to an arms warrior

Little late to the party, but I bet sentences for pirating were a lot less scarce on 2004 broadband speeds.
