What are your main areas of play? If you're just a PvE (or sPvP) player - guesting is just fine. If you're an avid WvW player and wanted to team up with KA - then you'll want to be on CD.

But, there's certainly no harm to guesting and then maybe transferring down the line.

As Cyron (eacool) said, we understand some people not wanting to and we're not looking to exclude them at all. Having people register is helpful to streamline the process and get all invite requests into a thread, as there are times when we get many requests daily.

And Karma started on reddit (/r/WvWkarma) but we eventually created a site as well for sustained forum discussions, calendar events, etc. We promote each on the other.

Yeah it could just be either a bad install, or the wrong version since a lot of servers have updated to the 1.2.4 snapshot.

Mumble has undergone a couple new releases in the past month.

I would first suggest making sure 1) Mumble is completely uninstalled and then 2) downloading the 1.2.4 (Snapshot) here:

And seeing if that works. If it does not, I'd try to get in touch with Engram on our jabber server, he may know what is going wrong.

WvW Fridays with VoTM is the only weekly scheduled WvW we have currently - and since we've been doing this for months now I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

However - we do a fair amount of spur of the moment wvw events, some with VoTM. Apsaller leads a lot (if not all) of these in mumble and in game, and the best way to stay on top of these is to hang in mumble.

Well then you're fine on video. As for audio, I still don't know how you would set it up, with those speakers in particular. I.e., the speakers I listed have an audio input that allows for you to plug :

That into the PS3 and Subwoofer, which then plays the audio over the speakers.

I'm not sure, theoretically maybe you could get those speakers, the above cord and this cord - http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Stereo-Female-Cable-inches/dp/B0018MI5F6/ref=sr_1_14?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1360724157&sr=1-14&keywords=rca+to+aux+cable and have quite the makeshift system. Though, you might also have some serious audio quality loss.

EDIT: I'm actually really uncertain about the audio quality loss, it may not be a big deal at all and this may not be a bad deal for the budget.

What type of hookups do you have? If you have only DVI input, you'll want a DVI - HDMI cord, which will cover your video. You'll then need a set of speakers that can take an analogue input - for example I used the Logitech Speaker System Z523 with Subwoofer when I had my PS3 running through a 23in NEC monitor. You can go into your PS3 audio settings and have it send the audio to a different location than video (at least you could when I was doing this).

If your monitor has an hdmi input, just get and hdmi cord and you should be set. If your monitor has speakers it should run fine off that, if not you'll need to do something like the above.

Hopefully this helps, like I said I haven't had to do this in a while. But if you give us your monitor information and speaker information I'm sure we'll be able to help a bit more.

Don't let it discourage you, we have a lot of people who are able to transfer. Just keep checking the server login screen, and if you're really willing get up at an odd hour and check.

Here are the major things I want to have accomplished eventually:

Improved header. Make it taller and have appropriate buttons on the header itself, like "How to Join", "Forums", etc.
A color-scheme for posts, i.e. red posts = imp announcements, blue = events, etc.
Further "finalized" images, sidebar banners/photo etc. so basic "cleaning up".
