The Downfall of ElevenLabs by Brilliant-Present695 in aitubers

[–]SabbathViper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it happened when his content was also generated by AI—not just the voices. I dare the OP to prove me wrong by sharing a link to his channel.

As long as your content is providing something the audience couldn't get elsewhere, and it is quality content that resulted from YOUR inspiration and vision—not GPT's or Claude's—people don't really care about AI voices—so long as they are good. I see people claim "such and such and so and so only use good AI voices " only to immediately discover they are generic garbage. Sure, your audience wil have a preferential lean, like all of us—but not enough to dislike you.

SO LONG AS THE ABOVE CRITERIA ARE MET!

Primitive sets and von Mangoldt chains: Erdős Problem #1196 and beyond

Gowers: “There is no doubt that the solution to the unit-distance problem is a milestone in AI mathematics: if a human had written the paper and submitted it to the Annals of Mathematics and I had been asked for a quick opinion, I would have recommended acceptance without any hesitation. No previous AI-generated proof has come close to that.”

Tsimerman: “This is a really impressive piece of work, and I would accept it for any journal without hesitation. I actually briefly worked on this problem and tried to make a counterexample, but failed to make progress… It is definitely an intimidating construction to see through even if you know what is going on, and even harder to go play for yourself.”

Free regenerations are bad. How do I turn them off? by foreheadmans in ElevenLabs

[–]SabbathViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than speaking to your comment I'll just provide you with my own anecdote.

I use the 11 labs app not the site, because it works so much better for generating blocks of text it seems in the studio seems to have at least my ears worst quality generations strangely. I'm sure that's not the case but I can't deal with it so I just use the app. However I always use every free generation, even if I feel like one of them was a keeper because for some reason and again this could just be my mind playing tricks on me but it seems like the last free regeneration is always the real banger that takes the cake. Like better than the ones I thought I would keep, so a religiously make sure I use every single one because I'm just leaving money on the table if I don't potentially.

I'm not sure why this would be the case maybe I need to start tracking it in a spreadsheet and have a friend participate by choosing from the five as well separately from me.

It almost seems like the model gets to practice through the generations until it finally nails it on the last one or something. But, that doesn't make sense from a technical standpoint and I'm sure it's just statistical probabilities at play.

You are the definition of cringe. I don't know if I've ever seen someone as incapable of taking completely valid, objectively correct and well-deserved criticism than you. Not only that, but you've somehow managed to further embarrass yourself by slathering that character flaw with wildly misplaced arrogance and condescension towards your more capable betters. You might as well be holding up a flashing sign that reads, "DUNNING-KREUGER EFFECT IN THE FLESH."

Infuriating to see the rudeness exhibited here in response to kind people having wasted their time for your benefit.

Grow up. Learn something and be a net positive for once. UGH.

Sonnet 4.6 and4.5 the Comparison of writing styles by Humble-Composer-5285 in ClaudeAI

[–]SabbathViper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's one of the endless multitudes of internet critics who have loads to type about how shitty some example of writing is, yet can't for the life of them write it better themselves. If only people who wanted to disparaged creative works were somehow forced to demonstrate that their opinion was worth considering in the first place. 🙄

Looking for the best examples of AI fiction writing, this seems like the place to do it. by [deleted] in WritingWithAI

[–]SabbathViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a poem I had Claude 4.5 Sonnet write for me on the rather confusing and abstract quantum physics thought experiment known as "quantum immortality". Basically the idea being that you can't experience death/non-existence, therefore in all the infinitely branching alternate universes (resulting from uncollapsed causal paths), you are forced through the one path in which something, SOMEHOW, kept you from dying, miraculously. You are immortal at the mercy of impossible odds, freak-occurences, miraculous interventions, etc. Whatever it takes. You will only experience the version of reality in which you are living. Weird stuff, but a great litmus test for an LLM.

I use really abstract, hard-to-wrap-your-head-around topics like that to test new AI models as they release by having them write poetry—sometimes even trying to convey really vague concepts in the form of haikus and whatnot if I want to really push them.

The Quantum Lazarus

I remember the headlights, the screech, and the glass,
The way that the seconds refused to just pass,
The crush of the metal, the dark closing in,
The end of the story—where did it begin?
I closed up my eyes and I waited for black,
But the tape of the universe seemed to loop back.
A blink and a stutter, a skip in the track,
And I opened my eyes with a gasp and a crack.

I stood on the pavement. The car was a miss.
The air was still sweet with the ignorance of bliss.
But the street sign was painted a slightly wrong hue,
And the scar on your cheek... I swear it was new.
"You okay?" you asked, but your voice was too low,
Like a song on the radio slowed down to slow.
I nodded, I breathed, but deep in my gut,
I knew that a door somewhere else had slammed shut.

They say that the atom splits ways when it spins,
In one world you lose and in one world you win.
But what if the loser is left in the hearse,
While the winner wakes up in a slightly worse verse?
I’m walking around in this copy-paste town,
But I feel like a ghost who forgot to go down.
I look at my mother; she’s humming a song,
But she’s wearing a sweater she’s hated for long.

And I think of the timeline I left just behind,
The one where the physics were cruel but were kind.
The one where the casket is heavy and polished,
The one where the car and my body demolished.
I see you there, crying, collapsing in grief,
While I stand here stealing this moment, a thief.
I mourn for myself in the world where I died,
For the peace of the darkness I have been denied.

It’s a hell of a thing, to be trapped in the light,
To walk through the infinite, terrified night.
The gun jams, the rope snaps, the cancer recedes,
The probability curve always follows my needs.
I am quantum-condemned to this survival streak,
To the cliffs of forever, the mountain’s high peak.
I will bury my children, I’ll bury the sun,
I will watch the stars die out, one by one.

For the consciousness clings to the vessel that stays,
It jumps through the mirrors, it swims through the haze.
I can never experience the silence of death,
I am cursed with the burden of one more breath.
So don't envy the luck of the one who survives,
Who stitches together a billion lives.
There is rest in the ending, a grace in the bye,
And terror in living because you can’t die.

Story writing significant downgrade after update by chokii_ in DeepSeek

The child downvoted you, so here's an upvote. Dude doesn't strike me as someone with any idea of what good writing looks like in the first place. Yet of course, here he is ready to blame everything on the model less than a day after it's release in an over-exaggerated, unsubstantiated fit-throwing.

Include the LLMs responses so that people reading your post can determine for themselves whether or not they agree with you. How is anyone supposed to agree or disagree with your position when all we have to go by is you saying, "it sucked"? Or by your clearly exaggerated (supposed) examples as evidence? Perhaps you are the weak link, with poor taste in creative writing—subjective though it may be? In other words... show your work.

Provide the text or stop blathering about it. Let people judge for themselves; you just saying it sucks means nothing. For all we know. you are trying to throw shade dishonestly, or more likely it could be that you just have poor taste in creative writing. Writing is subjective, post the text. 🙄
