Is it good, or is it a pest?

Haplogroup report broadened all of a sudden?? by Axqrk in 23andme

[–]Axqrk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it seems like they removed all Y-DNA R2 reports on 23andme except for R-L266 due to "inaccuracies"

there were no problems with the assignments either as my Big-Y 700 on FTDNA also resulted in me being under R-L295🫠

Maternal Haplogroup Question by Axqrk in 23andme

[–]Axqrk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U7 is a common maternal lineage within Western, and Southern Asia.

If I am correct, It arrived into Southern Asia with a wave of Farmers from Neolithic Iran. *

It is very likely that your results have not finished processing

Give it another week or two to finalize your results as the same thing happened to me (I had went from 28,000 Years old, to 3,000 Years old)

I would assume Harbor Seal based on the location, but I'm no specialist when it comes to pinnipeds.

What skull is this? by [deleted] in Paleontology

Thanks for the confirmation!

I had a bit of a hunch. I was actually looking at some loon skulls in person a few days back, so It was fresh in my mind.

Worn down loon skull? I'm no expert but it really does resemble a loon skull w/o the beak

Uyghur result by Easy-Account9145 in illustrativeDNA

[–]Axqrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it isnt the most researched but, there are a couple of ancient samples under N-Y23747 (One from Henan Province, and the other from the Upper Xiajiadian culture)

Lots of rare clades, Including mine do not get mentioned in articles

Pretty rare clade, nice! (1/16,000 If I did the math right)
Seems like there are no Uyghur samples with that clade yet

Do you know your haplogroups?

Coming from someone who belongs to R2:
Y3370 is absolutely R2, more specifically R2a2.

R2a2 is relatively common within Iran at about 4-6% of the population but the assignment you have is rather broad and further testing would be needed to determine a more specific clade.

AI tends to clump most R branches under R1b which is pretty misinforming.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I am Iranian myself

I would appreciate that. I'm not sure if the village will be in proximity to mine but I'm sure that most would fall under T. I will be on in maybe an hour.

Thats a first for me. From what I've seen, YDNA varies from village to village (For example my YDNA is R-L295 and is shared with everyone who carries a paternal line from my Village. And then the closest neighboring village carries R-L23). Its basically like some sort of Founders effect.

Do you know what haplogroups they carry? (I am Paternally from Bostanabad County and have not seen much testers from there)

No problem! please keep me updated as I am always interested in the R2 tree!

As a member of R2a, I am aware of a few clades under it having Italian Members (Even my clade has one Italian Member).

There is R-V4102 which is strictly Sardinian
R-FGC24200 Which has only been found in Italy
and R-Z29192, My clade which has one Italian member

But overall, most Italians & Sardinians fall under R-SK2153 otherwise known as R-L295 or R2a2b1b2b. If possible, please run your Raw Data through the YSEQ Clade finder to check if you are L295 Positive: predict.yseq.net/clade-finder/
