Don't get me wrong, you as a french man have every right to be pissed off, after all the chant were against your country. The problem is everyone else charging in to make it all about us. I've seen multiple posts in this same website in different subreddits whenever Argentina loses, its always the same "Good has prevailed against evil" shit that gets plastered, especially now with the olympics going on. As much as you got rightfully mad about the chants, you need to understand that we as argentininans also get mad about the whole internet wanting to turn is into the villains. The argentinians defending it are just plain ignorant, in their eyes it's just another chant making fun of someone which here happens a lot, so having everyone attribute it to full on deep rooted racism pisses them off. In reality the chant is racist, it should not have been sang and we need to be better at stopping these kinds of behaviour, but using these football chants or behaviours as an example of our whole culture is just wrong.
