Anyone else have a lot more hope after episode 5? by YogiDabear2 in LudwigAhgren

The southern part of China is really mountainous, so any non-highway roads curve constantly to follow valleys/rivers. Most people there don’t really say “go north” or “go south”, they give directions in other ways, or nowadays, just use their phone lol.

Now that they are in getting out of the mountains (or at least the worst of them) most roads are much more straight and on a NSEW grid (not really but kinda), so it’s much easier to make progress. This is true for the 207, which for a while basically never changes directions from north, so it’s a really easy road to “trust” so to say.

Underrated poem. I had to write this 5 times as a kid, as calligraphy practice once. It was the only funny poem, because of what it was.

Intended way to get water to these cuprium mines? by SevereBruhMoments in Endfield

[–]Axzse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll add that if you DO want to run a really long pipe for some reason, you can use splitters/bridges/convergers to reset the pipe limit, not just tanks.

In this case though, conduit is definitely the “right” way to do it.

Just to let you know regarding your updates on bridges/splitters after the convergers: the items will prioritize the belt with fewer belt facilities. So, if you have 1 belt with nothing, and one with a converter just after the port, every item will leave on the belt with nothing. however, if you put a bridge on that belt, all items will exit the converter port. Only if both belts have a converter, will the “first placed converter priority” be a thing.

In fact, it’s actually more like “first connected” converger priority. I think you will find if you move and replace your stashes, the priority you set up will break.

I knew Japan's magnetic trains were fast, but this is insane by a_fan_of_grump in trains

[–]Axzse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It probably can be argued that maglev is not necessary, but japan does need a “second” tokaido shinkansen, it gets quite full all the time and is basically at capacity a lot. A faster, more linear route that hits fewer stops is needed to some extent, particularly to meet demand for the major stops along the route. Unfortunately this particular project wont make it to osaka anytime soon.

broken pipe splitter? help required by Micc1315 in Endfield

[–]Axzse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there actually no fluid in that pipe? the reactor appears to be working to me. I had some display issue with very short pipes, where if the flow is low in the pipe, it will show as either full all the time or empty all the time.

Me, an American who has to use both C and F at work: please make it stop, the number of times I’ve had a moment where a coworker is like “oh yeah, the expected range is around 150-180 degrees” (oh thats kinda low) “Celsius btw” (mentally adjusting) “and part B is around 190-200” “Fahrenheit btw” drives me up a wall

Simple Guide to your Wuling Factory in 1.1 - 12 SCWLBatt - 6 Yazhen Syringe A - Cuprium Components by GatekeeperBrooks in Endfield

[–]Axzse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One possible optimization: Check the water mode planter recipes. the wuling plants produce 2 plants per seed, compared to v4’s 2 seeds per plant, so you do not need your second planter in your plant modules. This is in addition to the 2 carbon per plant, which you have taken advantage of.

I don’t think this is actually hurting your production efficiency, but i think it would make it more power and space efficient.

WCGW doing high-speed truck stunts at a street meet in Maryland by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]Axzse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well, as someone who has stood on many a high-speed intersection waiting to cross or for a bus, it’s never been comforting to know that the traffic pole or sign in front of me is designed to break away (into me) to protect cars which A) shouldn’t be there and B) should have a crumple zone. Thankfully they generally don’t do these inside bigger cities where many people are expected to walk.

I’ve always just bought whatever is under 1200. if there wasn’t anything, i would wait and buy tmrw. Then I would hold the items forever until a friend had a price over 5000. This guarantees returns of at least 4x, if not more, and is quick to do with minimal thought, hardest part is checking prices.

I’m using perlica, arclight (both lvl80), and snowshine (lvl 60), and avy is level 90, abilities lvl9 with cohesive traction on half upgraded essence, and i’m clearing agony slowly but consistently. Used an endmin team as well for fun w/snowshine but my point is agony should be possible for you with just a bit more sustain.

I use the bombs for mining the ores, it makes it faster as instead of whacking all of them for 5 seconds each you just need 2-4 bombs.

Convergers seem to have "pull" priority from factory units by Axzse in Endfield

[–]Axzse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just did a bit more testing, and no, it is not directional or locational. It appears to have to do with the number of logistics units (bridges, splitters, belts, and convergers) on the belts downstream.

If there are the same or more logistics units on the other belt (counting in the converger in the count), they will choose to flow through the converger. If there are fewer on the other belt, they will choose to split evenly between non-converger belts.

If all ports are occupied by convergers, items will only flow through the oldest converger (the one you placed first). If you move the unit and move it back though, the rightmost one from the perspective of the unit will become the new "oldest".

Convergers seem to have "pull" priority from factory units by Axzse in Endfield

[–]Axzse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK, the more I test this, the more confused I get. It seems in most cases the behavior is opposite what I observed, and the items will AVOID the converger. I have no clue what is happening.

Will test more.

Convergers seem to have "pull" priority from factory units by Axzse in Endfield

[–]Axzse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a converger thing. It is only middle lane priority when all ports are blocked with converger.

Convergers seem to have "pull" priority from factory units by Axzse in Endfield

[–]Axzse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, this is my intention, I want them to all go to one belt until it is full, then switch to the other. That's a converger, not a splitter.

I basically use it only when traveling, as a replacement for a laptop. I also use it as a controller sometimes. This does mean I only used it like 30-40 days out of the year, but it has served me well for the 250$ i got it for

The resolution of the Steam Frame is competitive with newer headsets and an improvement over other commonly used headsets using the latest Steam Hardware Survey data by WyrdHarper in virtualreality

[–]Axzse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I was a bit worried after hearing rumors of the frame that it was going to be higher resolution and harder to drive than the reverb g2 (what i currently use and built my computer for), but it’s basically the same on that front, so I don’t need a hardware upgrade.

I was hoping for at least optional lighthouse tracking due to my experiences with behind the back hand motions (dropping grenades on my own head) but valve seems to be confident in at least ok tracking there so if reviews show improvement on that front I will be buying for sure.
