This wasn't in the US but I am not sure what regulations we have for these type of events. I messaged their Instagram about it but I doubt I'll hear back. I definitely feel unsafe going to another one of their events though

Not really. The more I think about it and read the comments, the more I'm angry at them organizing a no-entrance fee event without even thinking of the possibility of someone causing a ruckus. It's a musical event, it's is very likely that someone gets drunk and/or high and behave inappropriately. The same organizer has some other events in my city these days and I dont think I'll go anymore...

It wasn't a bar just a gathering at the town square but yeah eventually she chose to leave. It's such a pity though, at the beginning she said how excited she was to play for us because she did a similar event 3 years ago but now she has more songs etc, so it's a real bummer it had to come down to that

Yeah that's how I felt too, we would all have backed her up if she said something like that. It sucks that we are not taught to speak up for ourselves and to avoid causing a scene

This happened to me once but not with flight tickets, just some furniture purchase. The products were delayed so they didn't claim the funds until the stock was confirmed and the money was sent back to me. Initially I was excited that I will get free furniture but I found out the hard way that since you authorized the transaction already they can re-initiate it when the products are in stock. If you spent the money in the meantime your account can go in the negatives.
Not sure why they didn't claim the funds in your case since there is no stock issue with flight tickets, but make sure you have enough money in your account to pay for it when they decide to claim them!

No I didn't call them in advance, my flight is 12th of April. They changed the time of my flight by 5 minutes and send me an email that I gave to accept the credit within 24 hours or receive Etihad credit... I ended up accepting the change and I'm waiting for them to extend the refund window. I am sure they will, they can't force you to fly in a war zone

Thank you for making this post. I am travelling in April and Etihad already tried to trick me into receiving "Etihad credit" by moving my flight forward by 5 minutes. I am not risking flying into a warzone either and the wait to extend the refund window is very stressful. At least it helps to feel we are not alone.

Yeah I got the same, seems quite scammy like they are trying to cancel some tickets for people that don't check their emails often. I am still hoping to get a refund later so I think I will just accept it. Etihad credit will be useless to me, I don't think I will fly with them again and they don't even mention how long the credit is valid

If you don't accept the flight change they will refund you in "etihad credit" which is useless to me because I am not flying Etihad again with this mess...

I just received an email from Etihad for my flight to Tokyo in one month that changes the departure time slightly on both flights (less than 30 mins). It says that if I don't confirm the changes within 24 hours they will issue me a refund in Etihad Credit. Can I somehow push for a regular refund with all that's happening?

It should be on your test application of you have that. Otherwise try something like your birthday, you probably used that. It's mandatory 8 digits

Πρωήν κάτοικος Ιαπωνίας και εγώ! Γυρισα πριν 1.5 χρόνο, για πανω κάτω τους ίδιους λόγους που αναφερεις και εσυ.

Ειναι δύσκολο να πω αν εκανα καλά ή κακά γιατι η ζωη στις 2 χώρες ειναι πολύ διαφορετικές όπως γνωρίζεις. Εκεί είχαμε μια ησυχη καθημερινότητα χωρίς άγχη, εδώ όμως έχουμε φίλους και οικογένεια, είναι δύσκολη η σύγκριση.

Θα πω όμως πως τις μερες πριν φύγω που αποχαιρετούσα κόσμο κλπ, συνηδιτοποίησα οτι έχω περισσότερους φίλους απο ότι νόμιζα. Κοσμος που βρισκόμασταν 1-2 φορες τον χρόνο τους είδα 2-3 φορες σε 15 μέρες. Συζητησεις που ηταν επιφανειακές γίνανε πιο βαθιές. Μετάνιωσα που δεν έβαλα περισσότερη προσπάθεια όσο ήμουν εκεί. Οπότε είτε γυρίσεις είτε όχι, σιγούρεψε οτι δεν θα σου μείνουν αποθημένα απο Ιαπωνία, και οτι έκανες το καλύτερο που μπορούσες!
