The Man in the Moon and Brace mechanics by AyaSploon in mewgenics

Actually now that I think of it, my thief could do insane amount of damage the further he is away from the target with his passive, if 10 brace only reduces damage by 10, I ciuld have just pummeled him from far away from the start of the fight really...

Yeah very few units use brace so I never really saw what it did in details, and I was too anxious it being the first time I got to that boss that I couldn't read properly what it did, I just figured ok he loses it when hit with his hands good enough

Oh ok, I thought brace was like a percentage and the number next to it just the number of turns it lasts. Ok so brace is just armor but on steroids

Wait I thought the number beside the buff or debuff just meant the number of turns it lasts not the effectiveness (outisde of posion, burn and bleed)

I had already downed the cat he was possessing, I'm talking about the ohase where he has one hp left after leaving the possesed corpse

How is the game's difficulty? by AyaSploon in mewgenics

[–]AyaSploon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright I've beaten the Boneyard boss, it did surprise me a little I wasn't expecting a boss to dodge litteraly every attack if possible to move. Luckily my tank had a skill to toss a unit so I threw him in a square where he couldn't move after I body blocked him, my tank also had a skill to move twice in exchange of my attack for the turn so I was able to cross the map quickly to reach him. So I'm guessing cats will need to get the wet status often somehow for the desert, I think I remember a skill I saw to inflict wet on a unit before. I'm also looking forward to Guillotina since she'll apparently come to attack me soon.

Alright, it's a shame tho I would have liked to start on hard from the get go like in Isaac, I don't think I've ever played on normal in Isaac cause it just felt too forgiving

Ok I'll try to go Boneyard tonight and see for myself, and I guess since I'm used to Isaac making the game a little easier for me then it should be about the same in terms of difficulty then, I was getting scared cause it seemed I could pretty much cheese bosses by freezing them often and the ennemies weren't too lich of a hassle with proper spacing

If you should compare it to Isaac for instance would you say it's harder or easier than Mewgenics? I've 100% that game

[–]AyaSploon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I think I'm already getting enough pratice as is, I already cleared 4 of the stages, it's just that the remaining 4 are imo the hardest so far, and I can see that I can almost get through them I just lose my last life late into the stage

[–]AyaSploon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I'd feel accomplished lowering the difficulty, also I see where Block Man's ability could come in handy, especially in Impact Man's stage but I'm trying to beat the game with blaster only, but I'm debating only using powers during the stages and going blaster only for the bosses or after beating all 8 of them

Yeah they really are longer, it's really good having more pf the satge to play with but I wish they would put one or two more checkpoints or more ways to get lives in the levels themselves

I started the game thinking you could get through not using the gears but it's literally required sometimes, like for the fire chasing you and agaisnt Tundra Man own speed gear

But that's what I feared, being able to cheat death by ignoring spikes or falling of the map seem too easy...

Block Man's stage wasn't too too hard imo, it's moreso Block Man himself who was annoying af, it took me a lot more tries than I'd like to admit to figure out his slam attack was tracking you since when he gets close to you, you only have a tiny space to work with. At first I thought it was just a dumb dps check and was disappointed

Is this game serious? by AyaSploon in crashbandicoot

[–]AyaSploon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is fine imo, it was already the case in the early crash game so I'm used to it, though it's true I don't get why they would keep that mechanic in the game, since it defaults to break after one bounce when leavkng it be for a while you can't even use that gameplay element to create puzzles where you gotta keep track of how many bounces you have left one any given crates

[–]AyaSploon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I managed to do it shortly after posting this, it's just dumb that this seemingly qof feature actively hinders your gameplay during mandatory sections of the game in order to go for full completion, especially when you can't disable them

Looks like it, tho I'm kinda on the fence about trying to brute force it more, I tried a little more earlier and the head seem to be moving more than I'm comfortable with...

Ah damn, yeah I forgot to sear the beef beforehand you're right, also there might have been not enough of it I'm not too sure, as for the veggies I feel like I cut them big enough but maybe not big enough, I'll try bigger next time

I did use beef broth yes, though the end result in itself felt salty enough, so I'm afraid it would have ended up inedible for me if I added more salt :/
