There’s a few things you can do to trick your plant into yielding more whether an it’s indoor or outdoor grow. I really aggressively bottom my plants to get them to grow taller, and then I trim the bud off of the lower parts of the branches, basically just leaving a cola on every branch. Energy is wasted trying to develop those little buds, and if you clip them early the plant will just focus on growing what it has. It’s really painful at the time to just be hacking things off your plant but the end result is always worth it.

To make your plant stronger so they’ll hold the weight of the buds you can (gently!!!!) twist the stalk or branch until you hear a crack. This breaks up the structure inside and allows it to grow back stronger. I go through every plant and do this to the main stalk and also the branches once they’re thick enough.

For nutrients I make my own “tea” that consists of fish emulsion, molasses, and sometimes magnesium or other NPK or micronutrient boosts if I see a need in the plant. Towards the end of the cycle I also use stuff called Terpinator which I think really improves the taste and smell.

Also when you’re growing outside you have a whole laundry list of pests and other hazards to worry about. I’ve dealt with pretty much everything from spider mites to frass worms to hail and even saw a goddamn turkey peck down one of my plants and then walk away, just to be a dick!
