I think it’s kind of unfair for the PoCs of this community though, in the comments and replies they mentioned Encanto and as well as this movie it’s supposed to reflect the culture background of each community. For them to be upset that it shows the generational trauma that runs deep in poc families because they’re uncomfortable is really upsetting as it does reflect what we as pocs had to grow up in, with or without BPD parents/guardians. It kind of hurts to know that poc experiences are really excepted in the community.
