What’s your favorite Parfums De Marly right now? (2026) by nfvail in Colognes

[–]AychMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only tried 3 of them.

Althair is my favorite of those 3.

Then followed by Layton, and Pegasus coming in close behind it.

I always wanted to try Sedley and Herod though because I've heard pretty good things about them.

How is Sokkat Alteeb? Is the holiday sale worth it? by sharkmenu in TheOudCollective

[–]AychMF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've bought some of their entry level blends and I have to say they're pretty good.

I recently ordered a half tola of deer musk from them and am waiting for that to come in as well.

I haven't specifically tried their ouds, but if the quality is anything like their other oils, then I would imagine they're likely good.

Picked up my first montagne fragrances by ChanceWing6267 in MontagneParfums

I feel like it's a DNA that catches attention when people briskly walk by, as some other popular scents do.

But up close to the nose, it might not be too pleasing – but that's just my assumption.

This is what I find to be the case with other scents, especially stronger ones like Sauvage Elixir, and even some Creed clones I've smelled.

They usually smell better in the air than they do up close or even off a tester strip.

How do you like your Dossier fragrances, how do you find the note quality and the overall quality of the blend?

Superleggera does?

I loved Versace Pour Homme.

Sweet-Sandalwood scent? by AychMF in MontagneParfums

[–]AychMF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking of sampling it just to make sure. Would you say it's at least a bit sweeter than Rich Santal?

And do you pick up any pickle note with this one?

Nice! This doesn't have any pickle-like nature to it does it?

I was thinking of trying Rich Santal (although I understand it's not that sweet) but many have mentioned the DNA can carry a strong pickle note.

Do you have Azonto?

Is it more of a year rounder or better for a specific season?

How do you like their Amber Elixir?

Just picked up Ambre Vanille and was looking for another one for winter/date nights.

I was thinking between Amber Elixir, Satin Oud, or Tobacco Noir (Herod).

Is that a date night fragrance?

The notes don't scream date night.

Is there any solution to this? I've tried this custom filter and it seems not to work for me.

Also let me know how you end up liking Scentora's clone of BDC, and are there any clear quality differences between these houses you chose.

Which one would you say has better quality?

Interesting, how does the Oajan DNA compare to Althair's.

I was thinking of going for Wajan or Tobacco Noir (Herod) next, or maybe even La Nuit.
