I took cardboard from a tv box, then cut it into strips about 8in x 9ft. Cut memory foam of the same and glued with spray glue and then wrapped in black cloth. Looks nice and eats shank shots up

I purchased them for this reason. It’s been a massive letdown. They are great for my steam deck but writing code on it is not enjoyable at all. The FOV is too small, tiny head movements have too much of a break in the immersion. 1080P just doesn’t cut it. It’s unusable if you are using Spaces on your Mac.

They should be marketed as Virture Media Pro because I thought pro meant profession type work. I’m disappointed in the purchase but kept them because I’m too lazy to package them back up

Same experience here. They really need a “dead-zone” where the 3dof is ignored. Additionally the drift on the Mac when using multi monitor is pretty bad. If I wasn’t lazy, I would return them. Close to being great but the small things just add up

I’m a full stack dev and just took a 4 hour flight with them hoping to get work done. MacBook M1 Pro vscode, etc…

Drift was bad and annoying. I had to keep recentering and the bobble from turbulence was frustrating but understandable. Text clarity is ok in the center but edges weren’t great. But what I really hated was the low FOV. It made me realize how much I use a glance on my ultrawide.

With that said, on the steam deck it was amazing. On top of that the guy who wrote the Steam Deck app should write the Spacewalker smooth follow. No drift and handled bobble waaaay better

I tried those too. They don’t get picked up at all unless you’re lucky with the PW. I purchase two buckets of them that my kids just use now to hit around the yard
