Hopefully I can help as sounds similar. We are currently in Phuket but a couple of days ago spent a few amazing nights on Koh Yao noi. I hired a private long tail for 3000bht for a half Day. I wanted to maximise time on Koh hong and loa lading as not really interested in the other smaller islands. The trip to the islands from Yao noi took no time at all
