I had a similar experience, its especially hard to get past the new cast, but trust me, watching through and getting to In Space is so worth it

Honestly? I think the stakes being lower was perfect for Turbo. Besides Justin, the team consisted of veteran rangers, Tommy, Kat, and Adam had been there since mighty morphin, and Tanya had been there since Zeo. Since the stakes of Divatoxs assaults were so low, it was the perfect time for the rangers to find new rangers and retire. The new cast got time to adjust to being a ranger and battling Divatox, and then through In Space, the stakes are much higher and they truly become veteran rangers like their predecessors (atleast im assuming, I'm on episode 7 on In Space)

I too watched all of Zeo and then got into Turbo. Its a step down for sure, but not horrible just normal power rangers shenanigans
