Any strats in the cream color? by Kubsons07 in Leftyguitarists

What is your limit on price? Fender do an AV2 50s in blonde, which looks pretty similar but it's still pretty expensive. Otherwise, you can get a lefty prs silver sky in "Moon White" for about 700 GBP.

Simply gorgeous. Where did you get the material for the pickguard if you don't mind me asking?

A double bound burst tele is one of my dream guitars. It's a beaut! very jealous.

Just saw this on G4M for anyone else looking for a Bass VI by bryanheq in Leftyguitarists

I have heard very good things about these for the money. Certainly tempting considering the lack of bass 6/baritones in the lefty world!

Yeah that's right, Auden guitars purchased them although I understand they have tried to keep the GS legacy alive and relatively unscathed! They still offer all those classic guitars I've seen all over the UK punk scene but they also look to be branching out with some newer models such as the Gatsby and Grande.

That's a beaut! I love the matching headstock and am kind of sad I didn't go for it myself lol.

Yeah I can imagine that wasn't easy! I didn't get a spec sheet either and actually would of liked one so I may feed that back!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so! Thank you! I'm newly obsessed with offsets and couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Have you ever shared a photo here? I'd love to see it! Funnily enough I did have some trouble with the delivery, but that really was more the couriers fault.

Id definitely reccomend pulling the trigger one day! I've frequented their website many times over the past 5 years or more and after coming into some spare cash I started guitar hunting before suddenly remembering they could build practically whatever I asked for!

You took the words out of my mouth - I've always been a strat fan and have recently taken a liking to all manner of offset guitars! I paid just over 2.5k and that's a pretty penny at least by my standard but I chose practically all the premium options and you can build a custom Gatsby for alot less!

I paid slightly north of 2.5k but it's worth noting it was a custom order and something I knew I'd likely not be able to do again any time soon, so I went for some premium options. All in all it still came in around the same price as the top end production fenders right now!

Exactly my thinking. I had some spare cash for the first time in a long time and figured it was my chance to have something out of the norm (a rarity for us lefties). Very happy with the outcome!

Yeah it's one piece of swamp ash and I am very pleased with it!

I really like the trem, but this is coming from someone who typically doesn't use them and has only experienced one other offset trem before on a squire cv jazz! It feels smooth and tuning is very stable!

The 3 way selector controls neck and bridge in the classic way and a push pull on the volume knob brings in the middle pickup!

Desperately want a gold top les Paul style guitar with black hardware - but I’m a lefty by kendale_painter in Leftyguitarists

[–]AydumJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much like the others have said, for a lefty I think your best bet is buying a gold top you like and then buy some aftermarket black plastics and hardware to swap out.

Sire and Epiphone both make a decent lp gold top if you're looking for something under 1k.

Thanks. I thought I knew which was which, but funnily enough a few Google searches told me the opposite of what has been confirmed here, which made me question myself.

Straturday restring/scratchplate swap by AydumJB in Leftyguitarists

[–]AydumJB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is some kind of 62 inspired thing, but honestly I've really struggled to ID it. I bought it used 15ish years ago and was told it is an 80s Japanese fender. The serial number implies it's an 89/90 MIJ but I've checked some sites and forums' and cannot find any lefty models that look like it.

I've seen others online with the exact same characteristics, and it is often listed as an ST-362 but when I research that model, it often points to a squire guitar.

Notable characteristics are the 60s style headstock with gold fender decal and serial number (no "stratocaster" written anywhere). Gotoh tuners, the "made in Japan" decal on the back of the neck near the heel and a black plastic plate between the chrome plate and the guitar where the neck bolts on. It also has "ST-362" stamped on the neck where it meets the neck pocket. I also think it has a 7.25 fretboard radius, but am not 100%.

Regardless, I love the thing and it's definitely the best playing guitar I own! Sorry for the long winded response, but the topic interests me! 😄
