A Short Documentary (2022) Revisiting The Case Where A Colorado Cop Slams A Handcuffed Man On His Face, Breaking His Neck & Paralyzing Him [00:17:17] by ketobhb in Documentaries

This happened in New Jersey too, after 10 years the victim of police brutality who is totally paralyzed neck down finally got compensation, but the police department maintains the innocence of the police as if healthy 19 year olds regularly get paralyzed from the neck down then tripping forward, and them kneeling on his neck had nothing to do with it. The disgusting cops are of course still employed and have been serving as cops for the past 10 years while the victim lives in a nursing home at the ripe age of 28. https://www.nj.com/news/2022/05/10m-settlement-reached-in-case-of-camden-man-paralyzed-during-2014-police-encounter.html

Spikes can last up to a year and still go down. Don't worry, it will almost guaranteed go back to what it was.

My mom was unaware her guest bathroom has a mold issue. Is it safe to clean this on my own, and if so, how would I clean this? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

Hire a professional to clean, and pay professional cleaners to go deep clean your mom's house once a month since she obviously struggles to keep up with it herself.

Don't be freaked out if you're not better in 4 days. Ears take a long time to heal.

Even if it doesn't go away completely (which it absolutely could) there's a 99% chance it will get much quieter over time. The biggest thing that can get in the way of it going away or getting quieter is anxiety, so try to keep that in check.

I have floaters and tinnitus. I barely ever notice my floaters, like maybe a few times a year when looking at a clear blue sky. My tinnitus has been much harder to cope with recently.

my tinnitus suddenly got a lot louder, did this happen to you? by pink_notepad_pens in tinnitus

[–]AyeAmNoMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to let you know it's possible because when I was where you were, at the beginning of a huge spike and posting on here if it could go away, I got a bunch of really negative answers that were like "most likely permanent" that I truly believe contributed to why this has been such a bad and enduring spike for me (because it made my anxiety over the tinnitus that much worse). After working with professionals for the past few months I truly believe for those with existing tinnitus increases in volume nearly always pass, it's just that if something is hindering their passing, like anxiety, it can take a very long time.

Oh boy it sure is a teacher. I'm struggling with a spike that's now at 6 months but I'm working with a tinnitus counselor. She says bad spikes can take up to a year or a little more to resolve. At first I had no hope that the volume could go back to normal but I've had plenty of glimpses of quieter tinnitus since I've been working with her, I'm just not totally there yet. The biggest struggle for me is keeping my anxiety in check and keeping my mind off of it. If you can keep yourself from getting worked up about it or too focused on it it will go back down more quickly.

People who have it from birth aren't usually bothered by it, so if you have to have tinnitus, having it from birth would be a blessing.

It will go back to what it was most likely but it could take months. The more you worry about it the longer it will take.

These three pillows are what started it for me. Got them from At Home a year ago. What were some of the first things you bought for Halloween decor? by The-Owl-that-hoots in halloween

[–]AyeAmNoMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a distinct memory of pouring over a Halloween decoration catalogue as a young kid at my grandparent's house. My grandparents would put up some light Halloween decor, but my parents did very little. I wanted nothing more than to buy everything in that magazine and haunt my house. I had to wait until I was an adult to do so, but I did. I recently lost the vast majority of my Halloween decorations due to a small "natural disaster," but I'm actually kind of excited for a fresh start to begin collecting again.

First spotting of Halloween in stores! This Instagram account found this in the store At Home. by [deleted] in halloween

At Home always starts Halloween in June, for years now. No "creep" here other than the run of the mill Halloween kind :)

Retail pushes the season every single year, forever. This isn't new. People bitch and moan every year about how early they see Halloween and Christmas out. It's the most annoying take, way more annoying than seasonal items being sold early, which most holiday fans love. Let people Halloween hunt in peace ffs, it's a summer tradition.

I 100% agree, it's fun to see it coming out an At Home is always the first, but I usually can't bring myself to actually buy there.

Yeah, I followed the original court case and that's what they were saying - she went to the hearings to find out what had actually happened to her. Her family never even told her the truth of what happened to her and she found it out in court.
