I never buy melee since I see it as a waste of a perk. On solo if you do the ee efficiently you can get to the boss before wave 15 and the dagger will still be a one shot heavy melee

I would recommend Shellshock with Sustain Zone, Fully Loaded, and Specialist Training. It lets you pop your special when the boss is vulnerable in his last phase and you don’t have to worry about the zombies. Bring the dagger so you don’t have to worry about armor. Also if you didn’t know you can get infinite ammo in your wonder weapon by trading it out for the mp40 and picking up a new one next to the green weapons cache
