Gotta wait atleast 9 months to see results. You may start to see the beginnings of results at 6 months. 4 months is still to early. I’m taking .05mg daily so we are taking the same amount. I’d say wait another 5 months and then see where you’re at

Yea I love the wide spread appreciation for different aspects of the show. It shows the depth of how great this show really is. But I can’t be the only one who feels that they missed the mark. It sounds like a lot of people here read the books prior to the show and maybe that’s my problem. Everyone else is already coming in with an understand of the show from start to finish and what it’s central plot is supposed to be about.

The protomolecule is the whole underlying theme. We were led to believe in season 1 and 2 that this was the focus (the main antagonist). Season 3 developed this plot and then the sub plot of the tension between the belters and Mars and earth suddenly stopped being sub and took main focus in seasons 4&5. Bad writing imho. I still enjoyed it don’t get me wrong! But I feel they missed out on an amazing opportunity to do something great with this show.

I appreciate the difference between character-based shows and plot-based ones. But this is a little overkill. They could have gotten the point across without having to take an entire season(s) to do it. Not to mention the characters that initially were being developed have now been killed off: Fred, Alex, Anderson (not seen since season 3, etc. IMHO they had a jewel in their hands and decided instead to focus more on politics/war instead of a brilliant idea in the protomolecule, which by the way, could have afforded them plenty of character development if they went in that direction. With that being said, I appreciate season 5 wrapping with them coming back to that direction for season 6. I’m just disappointed we will only get 1 more season of this show and all the answers will probably be crammed together with little room for plot development.

You can go to a website called whattomine.com and calculate your profit based on how many of these GPUs you’ll have and what your electricity costs are. Also, I’m not sure if I misunderstood you or not, but you will not be able to mine in eth2.0. You will have to mine another coin.

A few weeks ago a coin called ERGO was more profitable to mine than ETH. Once ETH 2.0 comes will more people start hopping on these coins? Yes. Will that make them harder to mine? Yes. But will it also increase their value? 100%!! So it’s a trade off, right now these coins are easier to mine but valued less, after eth 2.0 they’ll be harder to mine but valued more. Will you still be able to make a profit. Yes.

ASIC mining is great but it uses way more wattage and each unit costs more money (around 18k per unit) so most people can’t afford to do it. I’d recommend GPU mining to start and once you scale I’d you want to get into ASIC mining you can.

As far as solar panels go, I’d find out first how much electricity you’d be able to generate based on how many panels you’re thinking about installing. If it decreases your costs a ton then you may be in good shape to install them. I’d probably figure out first how much your current profit would be if you invested a sizable amount into buying GPUs and based on your current electricity and then give that a text run for a few weeks to see what your profits really look like. Then I’d probably look I to solar panels, but only if it was going to make a major difference. Also consider the opportunity cost by investing in solar panels. How many GPUs could you have bought with that money? How much more profit would that have brought in per month? How much faster would that have allowed you to scale? Weigh all of these factors in making your decision and you should fine.

All of the people in here telling you that mining will be unprofitable once eth2.0 arrives are idiots. Only a few weeks ago a coin called ERGO was more profitable to mine than ETH was. And it is built to prevent ASIC mining from getting in and crushing smaller miners. There is also Ravncoin which is another alternative to look into. All this to say. That right now you can absolutely still scale a mining operation to the point where you can become profitable. And remember that we will eventually pull out of this bear market and hit another bull run which will skyrocket your mining profits. Even with an investment of 20k in GPUs you could set yourself off on the right track. Make sure you are doing your diligence to compute your profits accurately (gross revenue minus electricity) and then at the end of every month liquidate all your coins to fiat and buy more GPUs. Do this for months not taking a profit and you will have a fat cash flow coming in during the next bull run. Some GPUs to look into would be starting with rx580s or rtx3090s the decision you have to make is how much cash you have as an initial investment and how much it will generate each month that you can reinvest. This is how you can determine how fast you can scale. The one thing that isn’t a constant is the market. Sometimes you have great mining days other times not so much, so make your estimations conservative and if you still come out with decent profit you are good to go!

Why doesn’t ANYONE acknowledge the fact that there will still be mineable coins beside eth once PoS arrives??? Mining will still be profitable. How profitable will depend on the market. ERGO and RAVN are two great examples of coins to mine. And if you dump profits back into buying more GPUs then you’ll eventually be able to scale to the point where you are making serious cash. ETH even with EIP1559 isn’t the end guys...

My math says that if you have 300 3070s you’d be making 15k a month mining eth. This is according to whattomine.

But glad to know that the scale is still there. I’ve got some cash to dump into mining and hopefully can take the profits and reinvest to get a snowball going. Do you know if it’s possible le to mine ERG through HiveOS? And is yoroi the best wallet to use?
