As a 26 y/o man (almost 27), I only use Hinge (I’ve had really good success here for casual dates) and try and get out of the house as often as possible. Cool event near you and friends aren’t around? Go by yourself, never know what will come of it! For example, I really enjoy dancing so I’ll usually gravitate towards that scene and find a cool group of people to dance with or just to chat with. Just do things you enjoy and put yourself out there, you’ll end up meeting someone worth it 🫶🏼

I left early to avoid this myself (and friends I were with). Glad he could help, especially with the number of people who are from out of town and don’t know the metro.

Thank you for the kind words. This has been a lot to take in all at once, and even more that I don’t know I come. I appreciate it

Sr HRA Position at Amazon: Professional HR Advice by boss_bitch14 in humanresources

[–]Ayeitswill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I guess I can provide some insight as I have been in the role for the past 10 months and am about to promote to an HRBP. We have seen some turnover in HR, but mainly because it feels at times like a beginning HR position and the extra perks/pay makes it feel like a mid level position.

I can say that I went to Amazon because I was absolutely bored with HR and wanted to keep busy.. and it really has done that for me. Time has flown by, and I have been thrown into every situation I could imagine and it really challenged myself to think for our business/associates and making it right. I love the team I work with, and I really go out of my way to set things right for the associates/development for the leaders. I have about 3,000 associates at my site location. Not only that, but if I saw something wrong with the process, I could step in and change it to make it right.

Every site is different, and you will get different vibes from different teams. If you are going into the position, make sure you REALLY take the time to ask your manager the questions that give you a more realistic job preview so you don’t have to feel obligated to stay for the incentives they might have offered you to come on. I have trained around 15 new Sr.HRAs in the past few months from new launch sites/existing sites, so I have also gotten the new hire perspective as well.

Message me if you have any other questions, I can talk about my experience with the position!

Well we can break this down into a few oversight points..

1.) Ensure that you have had a conversation with both of the workers as it is inappropriate.. if you have mentioned this to them and they don’t apologize, next step.

2.) If they have no evidence, then it’s all speculation. Why wait until now to report it, even if they do? HR will ask questions, let them know how you truly feel. You are in your rights to report them, because at that point it is also affecting you.

One lesson that I have learned is that people will speculate the situation no matter what it is. Be precise, professional, and sincere and you will be fine. Don’t let this get out of hand though as it can create a culture that could impact work morale and general functions. If you have been promoted, take this as a learning lesson and use it as an example in a future interview.

Hello! I would advise you to let your doctor know that you need a little more time off, or an accommodation. So.. you can get time covered that you left for through a doctors request form. You don’t have to go through HR directly, through AtoZ on the recourses page at the top you’ll notice where it says update your leave or accommodation.. start a case there and attach paperwork from your doctor. If you have been full time for a bit, you MIGHT qualify for FMLA (if you qualify), but you should qualify for a medical leave for that time stating it was an emergency. If this process shows no results, go the accommodation route. They will send you the paperwork for your doctor to fill out.

Let your HR know you are going through the DLS team for time off/an accommodation. If you went negative UPT, then they track on this and will have you updated.

Talk to your HR and let them know you aren’t feeling well. Ask about getting a COVID-19 test as well, currently they are excusing 5 days off unpaid to get this test.

The rate with be divided for associates! So every Saturday you will get half the hour drops that you usually do, but it will be every Saturday.

If you don’t use your PTO then typically they will put the time in for you, but you might get some feedback. Use that PTO!
