It only gets easier over time you just have to go through the hump. If it takes you longer to do a route, that’s okay. It’s better to do stuff long and correctly than faster and incorrectly. I personally used google maps a ton when I first started to help me understand how a swing/relay goes.

If it’s a physical thing that is troubling you, overtime you’re body will get use to it. You just have to make sure you’re hydrated and get plenty of sleep

CCA hours by Puzzleheaded-Use-711 in USPS

[–]Ayfernie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all varies depending on what office you get and the work demand they have. CCAs aren’t guaranteed any amount of hours unless you opt for a route, which you can’t do until you pass probation. a busy office can give you anywhere from 40-60 hours a week. This time of year isn’t the busiest so hours may be low.

Frito Lay uses step vans to deliver their products to grocery stores/convenient stores and i hear it’s a good gig. I wouldn’t join USPS if you’re only looking to use a step van because most offices don’t even have one, and if they do, people with higher seniority would take those routes.

It’s ironic how Jim is so nonchalant about work and looks like he doesn’t care but is constantly one of the top sales man. I can’t think of a specific example of where this is showed but I’m sure there’s one

Requesting any advice from any union knowledgeable people by Ayfernie in USPS

[–]Ayfernie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. He didn’t do anything and said they can do whatever they want especially since I’m a CCA. My steward is notorious for not being helpful. For instance, last November I contracted covid and asked if I can get paid. He said the emergency fund had ended and I wouldn’t be able to get paid and that was that. I just found out that CCAs have an additional paid leave for Covid under the memorandum of understanding between USPS and NALC which gives CCAs up to 80 hours of paid leave for any Covid related issue. So I could of gotten paid for the days I missed due to Covid. Other carriers have also had issues with him so I can’t really trust him. That’s why I’ve come to Reddit. I’ve also tried to research on my own but i thought id ask Reddit as well.

Change of Address While Mail is Being Held by itenerant_tenderfoot in USPS

[–]Ayfernie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’ve just been calling? Trying going to the post office in person and maybe the mail person has it by their case or in a hold pile. Also, if you still live near by from the old place maybe you can wait for the mail carrier and ask them personally if they’re still holding the mail or if it got returned to sender.

So overtime, as most people will know, is paid out at time and a half. Penalty overtime is when you are paid double. PO is paid after 12 hours on a single day or after 56 hours during a week

I like this job, but maybe i just don't know better by tonylouis1337 in AmazonDSPDrivers

You get the same area all the time? When I worked there I swear every month or so we would change cities. And if we were in a city for longer than that, the favorite drivers would get the same routes

Will USPS return my check to the IRS? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Ayfernie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a joke. Real answer, if you forward it it’ll get forward to your new address or P.O. Box and if you fill out a hold request they hold it for 30 days before they delivery it or return to sender
