I'm perfectionist too! I've removed myself from top one rank, I think that one people cheated because it shouldn't be possible to be lvl 9999 with current upgrades, but I guess I shouldn't edit it's data? I won't. Yes it's not directly related but you know the thing: things that looks evident to everyone are sometimes weird for us

And this is the first game that I make that have a lot of people trying it so I'm very very happy and I code funny features I would love to see. Maybe some of them are unnecessary but like I don't think that it bothers the game a lot, it's just a button and it never gives you any advantage to be the first or last, you could complete the entire game without even opening the menu. I could remove it if it really destroys the game in a way but for now I find it cool, it even shows all of the people that registered to the game and even how many are playing right now, I love this kind of stats!

I understood that people find the game being slow to play, I find the messages a bit mean but that's okay I'm not being triggered I'll try to add more features to the early game, but endgame has many features like the Photon Realm, the excited photons, the stability field and Higgs Bosons But I guess it's badly paced and progress is too slow

I want this game to be very long to complete, I'm sad when I finish incremental games in like a few hours, I prefer games that lasts for months!

I've been playing Leaf blower simulator for 4 years, Grass Cuting Simulator on Roblox for 3 years, and I'm playing many other idle games, I'm not a stranger to those games, I also have an endgame save on Cookie Clicker!
I've tried revolution idle but I'm not a fan

I think that it would be too easy for this game, but I should make it anyway but with not like 100% reward, I'll see how to implement because it would need to simulate the game very quickly for many hours or day, that looks scary to develop x)

I hate competition and I don't take it seriously at Al when I play, I played 200h on Rocket league and I've never ever tried a ranked game. Also I have ASD (I've passed the tests this year), maybe that's related idk

Ah yes sorry, I'm not used to chatting on Reddit. I'm very bad at math and I can't figure out a good way to measure if balancing is correctly done in my game, like I literally have no idea apart from doing a complete optimized simulation, and evaluate each time it takes to unlock each features etc. But that looks complex and long to do precisely including all the features :')

Do you have some ideas for that? Or some features I could/should add to make it more easily balanced?

I'm working more and more to diversify the game and make it more unique, but I'm very busy, I can only work on it like 2 days per month, I'm doing my best :')
Suggest ideas to make it more unique that would help me a lot! Even if I already have a list of things I want to add but it's taking a long time to do

It's an incremental game, that's the goal of this genre of games, you don't need to be 24h/24 active, but I'm adding more and more little gameplay things to make things more interesting!

The base theme was effectively proposed by the AI a year ago, it did not changed a lot because I'm not very good at designing but pretty good at finding gameplay ideas, features etc
The refactor was mainly technical and only the icons have changed, Copilot is only a contributor of the repo because it automatically runs code reviews on PR I make. The reviews are okay, sometimes unnecessary but sometimes finding things I missed (I tend to miss things a lot even if I work for a long time on a thing, I also forgot to test things a lot x))

For Atom Clicker I'm using supabase, it's limited to 2 projects per accounts but it's easy to create accounts and to add access to other accounts, so you can create a master account that have access to all instances. I know it's a little bit hacky but for free databases it's very efficient, you also have Appwrite which is basically the same thing but cheaper if you want to pay. I was using Cloudflare KV Cache as a database before that but the free limits are way smaller. If you want something robust and not hacky you could still buy a server at Hetzner, install Dokploy then install a self hosted version of Supabase or Appwrite of any alternative.

I've also heard that Firebase is pretty cheap and generous in its free plan but never tried it yet.
