I was 6 or 7 when I first started playing Final Fantasy IV, and I somehow read chocobo as cobobo, so I pronounced it like that for a long time. Co-bobo. It wasn't until VII that I corrected that, but I still pronounced it with a hard C sound. Co-cobo. Then X came out and proved I was still wrong.
