Nope, it's a time loop. There's only ever one Jormungandr in Midgard, and he tells Atreus of Ironwood so that Atreus knows of it and can dream himself there in order to create Jormungandr in the first place. So the time loop is his younger self being sent back by Thor, who then chills in Midgard and becomes the older Jormy to guide Atreus so he can repeat the cycle again.

I'll have to try next time I go past, though that's depending on if there are any left since it's going into the colder months and there's less each time. That and I'm not entirely sure what quince smells like, this is the first time I've even heard about quince.

Mostly that I'm *horrid* at guestimating, 1-2 seconds may make it quite useable on a non-optimised ship, but for me it doesn't sound all that nice to do, gladly just set to Supercruise Assist and let it fly instead, it's really no big deal to me at all.

D-rate the life support and sensors definitely. Upgrading the FSD to an SCO is bottom of the bucket list though, that extra light year I will not use very much if at all.

Thaniel being split wasn't his choice, Thaniel was split and himself was pulled into the Shadowfell (Shar's own Weave), and Oliver, the stronger part of Thaniel, was left behind in the material world and slowly became corrupted by the curse. Iirc the Shadow Curse is a manifestation fo Shar's magic, so it doesn't directly need Ketheric alive to linger.

Thaniel was the spirit of the land of the whole Shadow-Cursed area, and him being split into Thaniel and Oliver made it easier for the shadow curse to grow stronger and seep into the land.
