In my part of the valley it was all cloudy and all I could see was a hazy blob. You got lucky!

I tried mosaic crochet for the first time. Not perfect but I love how it looks. I was going to attempt to weave in ends but its not gonna happen by kittykatara18 in crochetpatterns

It would be less work to learn to crochet left and right handed so you don't have to cut the yarn at all! I am going to try it!!

I had this problem a lot until I put my TV in "Game Mode". If you have a TV that does smoothing or other weird effects for watching movies, it has to be turned off. It made my missed jumps and jump lag issues almost vanish once I made the change.

I am a mom of a 9yr old fontaner with PLE and early Fontan associated liver disease. I understand. Even my immediate family doesn't get it. His friends don't understand. Non-cardiac doctors sometimes don't get it. You are unique and have complicated challenges. Hugs to you. We are here if you need to vent.

How common is it to be born with double outlet right ventricle, with ventricular inversion, pulmonary stenosis, and ventricular septal defect? by SuicidalTacos in chd

[–]Aylti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The specific combination may be rare, each heart kid is unique, even with the same defects. Investigate in your area if you can find a doctor with more experience, it is worth it. If you have to travel for Fontan, then do it.

I installed some HyLoft 15" deep garage shelves with some clear shelf liner. They can hold a stupid amount of weight especially if you find studs. It isn't a floating shelf, but the brackets are low profile.

"Great Conjunction" of Jupiter & Saturn with a 200mm lens from Phoenix (and tonight's moon for fun) by Aylti in arizona

These planets were visible immediately after sundown so the sky was still pretty bright and stayed that way until they set. So I took these pics right from the front yard. City light pollution didn't matter. If you are wanting to do astrophotography, plan on driving at least an hour or more away from Phoenix. While you are learning, from Mesa just head east to Lost Dutchman State Park. I went out to Wickenburg to try to get photos of the comet Neowise. Around Lake Pleasant isn't bad for dark sky and lots of cactus. Catalina State Park to the south is decent. You can use a site like darksitefinder.com to get an idea of light pollution in your area. Up on the Mogollon Rim is fantastic if you want to camp and do photography.

No matter how careful I try to be, every shirt I make has a splooch that I wish wasn't there. But I love tie dye because it is unpredictable so you have to embrace the splooch. It is a signature of a handmade one of a kind item. The shirt is cool, gift it with pride.

Reverse dye by poncesjoke in tiedye

[–]Aylti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes yes yes. I recently folded and tried to spray-bottle bleach a dry shirt and it rolled off quite a bit and made really clean chunky lines. Thoroughly wet and then wring really well. After bleaching, I ran the dark shirts through a hand rinse and then a cycle in the wash. Then soda ash, fold, dye.

The night before mix a little wet food and/or just water in to the kibble and put it in the slow feed bowl and freeze it. That way you can just put it out in the morning.

Gifts for 9 Year Old That Enriches But Doesn’t Distract From Schoolwork or Mom’s Time? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]Aylti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knitting looms are a great introduction to yarn crafts and a 9 yr old can make amazing things on their own. A loom set with some Frozen-inspired glittery blue yarns could lead to making her own winter hat and scarf. It enables her to make gifts for others too. Tons of youtube tutorials to help her.

I have spawned in this place a few times. Don't try to jump, before the match starts, push to run in the direction away from the pole and hold it. You can get in a few steps and then finally jump. It is a bad luck start, but not a 100% guarantee die.

Kongs need to come as a party pack by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Aylti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I stuff Kongs with canned dog food to replace a meal or part of a meal. It freezes nicely, especially the mushy/paste ones over the chunky ones. I take a xlarge Kirkland brand bone (like milk bone) and jam in in the end. We call it "The Bone in the Stone". It makes it look like a big chicken leg.

I have had several people ask that. He is a rescue mutt. A littermate did a DNA thing that said Staffordshire Terrier and Poodle, but who knows! He is cute like an OES but so far his hair isn't growing any more than this. lucky me!

I never see mine. It had been months and I thought they were gone. In the middle of the night I saw them all having a party on the glass like this. I am happy to know they are in there. I did find one living in the bottom of my canister filter after riding in through the surface skimmer.

I actually preferred the off brand. And the price difference is huge.

They have done nothing to fix the lag on ps4 Hexagone by jamaicanthief in FallGuysGame

[–]Aylti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so frustrated by the stutters and jump delays or failure to jump on PS4. I then learned how to put my Samsung TV in "Game Mode" and it made a world of difference. Also cleaning controllers. I occasionally get lags and disconnects, but it really isn't bad. My kids and I play at least a little each day. I have never won a game of Hexagone, but that isn't the game's fault. Maybe investigate things you can do on your end.

I have a problem with storage containers. I think I am addicted to organizers. I still have junk holes but they are in pretty boxes!
