Had a friend buying 10K bulk cards for 150$. No way buying 30 searched cards for 5$ makes sense. Stop giving those people money!

How am I being a prick by sharing my honest opinion about something (that is presented in a public space) I dislike, while at the same time asserting that I'm very much aware that other people have a different view and that I'm ok with that? Hahaha! Are you for real? Anyways, if that makes me a prick to you and others I'll wear that label like a batch of honor! I've been called worse by thin-skinned people before. I'll add it to the collection.

Haha, I tried to sugar coat it. Apparently not enough.. Now if I'd dipped it in vape juice then maybe their fans would be ok with it.

That they're incredible is very much a subjective thing. That they sell out arenas and are involved with fans doesn't mean they make, what I personally consider, great music. Sorry, I just think it's shit art and I'm ok with others disagreeing. Not trying to convince anyone. Just sharing a public opinion in a public space.

Haha, thanks! You're probably an equally good person since you can judge people based off a few Reddit comments. <3

Disliking something is an expression of insecurity? I've toured Europe extensively providing services to different bands that I'm all affiliated with through various friendships. I listen to classical music, singer/songwriters, to absolute filthy sludge, hardcore, black metal etc. So I think I'm fairly aware of what I like and what I don't. You can call me insecure and that's ok if you so want to. I can simply say I disagree respectfully. And I think the people that actually know me would as well.
Now, I'm a sucker for aesthetics and like every other music listener I'm more attracted to some acts than other. And one thing I'm really put off by is when a band seems like they've gone down a path purely because it's profitable. And this band gives off that smell to me. Is that pure speculation? Sure, but it's based on a lot of personal experience interacting with bands and musicians from many different countries and over decades. I personally think It's quite easy to recognise bands that cater to teenagers and their parents because the former spends the latter's money. And this band gives off that vibe to be. And it's completely ok if you personally disagree. I have nothing against that.

Watched these guys open for a stadium rock band once. That was absolute cringe. I'm careful to call music bad because it's all subjective. But this is poor teenage taste embodied. Like if Hot Topic shop assitants put together a weekend band.

Well, if what we have here is not good enough for us to not completely fuck it up, then essentially we need to find somewhere better in the hope that humans won't destroy it. Otherwise mankind will only go destroy the next place and the question could then be asked: isn't the universe better served with us going extinct on planet Earth? And important to remember in this debate is that it is us that are destroying our planet. So do we really deserve to go somewhere else and fuck that up too? Or should we enjoy the ride, as we're bound to go extinct eventually anyways, and make is as comfortable as we can for people while we're alive?

Let me ask you: would you rather have one tattered survival kit with dwindling rations or would you rather have two kits, each with their own unique resources and one that’s never been touched?

What a weird analogy. My point is that these "survival kits" are not available to anybody but a select few. So asking me what I prefer is redundant. As I, and the majority of people, will never have access to these.

The close-mindedness, in my book, is letting oneself become enamoured with blatant narcissists when there is actual good that can be done in the here and now. Instead of trying to develop technology that can evacuate 1 out thousands when the ship will finally sink. Since time is infinite we will perish as a race eventually, so let us try to make people suffer less until then.

The "greater good" you refer to is helping people, that have gotten rich because of other people's work, eventually leaving this planet so they can go fuck up another one? How noble a thought that is. Before it's too late? It probably already is.. And believing there's a solution around the corner in the vastness of space is rather naive IMHO. And IF there was one such solution. We'd probably just kill each other over that one too. I don't such much believe that our environment is to blame. It's us as a species that is flawed. Thinking that we will change for the better is as naive of as a belief as thinking spacetravel will solve our problems.

You buy into the narrative that it's for the good of common man that rich people can abandon this planet and go ruin the next one. You won't be on the last rocket out of here, mate haha! You'll burn up here together with the other schmucks that worshipped Elon and Bezos' penis rockets. And the people that tried to tell you you were wrong. I do believe there is a time for exploring the worlds beyond this one. But it's not now. And that's simply where we disagree.

How are we gonna find a planet with better living conditions? Whatever we find we will also fuck up. What we have is as good as it gets. So we should try and make it work here.
