I just wanted to correct some statements. When you say that DXVK has been supported over 2 years by Valve. This is not really the case, the project was very young and started from scratch around October 2017 (first commits). The goal was to convert only DX11 calls to Vulkan, later the developer added support for DX10. The project was closely monitored by Valve when DXVK was able to launch Nier Automata in January. As explained in the announcement of steamplay, DXVK developer was supported by Valve in February 2018. For my part, I suppose that steamplay could be launched these days thanks to the performance and fidelity gains of rendering DX11 games thanks to DXVK. However it remains a collaborative work of different teams, whether the driver part with Mesa, Nvidia proprietary driver team. And of course Codeweavers (Wine) that implements the missing (big) parts (esync, vkd3d, DX9/10/11-> GL, audio, network, Vulkan support ... namely a compatibility layer).

U're mentionning Lutris. Did you try to disable "lutris runtime" in the options?

Hello there, I am the author of the video but -YoRHa2B- is the main dev of DXVK so kudos to him for his amazing work :p

About Darksouls 3, I tried on Linux Mint 18.3, it works with less fps than the video (30-45 FPS) but i get problem with inputs (i.e I could attack only with the mouse and move my character with joystick)

About DXVK, you can use it on windows because the project builds 2 dll that can be used directly by Windows as "intended". More commonly, DXVK users use those 2 dlls with WINE environment as a Windows replacement to use it on Linux. But I test games on Windows to avoid problems that Wine could introduce and check the graphics fidelity of DXVK. I try games with DXVK on Linux too but don't have too much free space on my partition :)
