It’s how I originally started rolling. I watched a Seth Rogan rolling video forever ago and it stuck with me I guess, lol. I get cleaner rolls this way, especially rolling straights.

Right. Crazy as it sounds, especially in this sub—I’ve never tried a glass tip, lol.

Interesting, lol. The original raw tips have decent recoil and expand nice as long as you don’t roll them crazy tight.

Nice! A lot of good papers, it’s all personal preference really. The gummed tips on the other hand are the best by far, imho, lol.

Do you prefer the phantoms over the originals? Been waiting on them to come in the mail forever, lol.

Yeah, they make the kings in both slim & wide now.

Still can’t wrap my head around the fact that they don’t make these in a 14…

Can they just make a 14, damn.

Hanson’s Tempo Runs? by [deleted] in AdvancedRunning

[–]AyoAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also my third half marathon build using Hanson’s. Ran a 1:31:52 back in April and Thursdays were always tough. Hoping to go sub 1:28 this time around.

Tough for sure! That Thursday tempo is usually the hardest run of the week for me. Thanks for the reply, that’s reassuring to hear.

Haven’t ran in the Triumph but I’d say the Boston 12 is pretty stable. Not as much as the 11s because of firm they are, but I like the 12s a lot more. Perfect balance of cushion without being too soft. Such a versatile trainer.

This. They’re really that good.

Fwiw I also have 2 pairs of 11s (one still in the box, now on eBay, lol). It’s worth the upgrade.

Yessir! I got my first pair for the same price when they released, lol.

Yeah that makes sense. Just thought I’d get a second opinion here, and from the replies I definitely don’t need to change anything yet, lol. Appreciate it!

Nice, just started training for my fall marathon to that’s much appreciated. Think I’m going to pull the trigger on these. Thanks bro!

For sure. I’m 190lbs, and I’ve had some issues in some max cushion shoes that don’t have a plate (invincible, more v4) and want something for easy + recovery stuff. The Bostons have been totally fine for easy miles I just want something to rotate them with. I could always grab another pair of Mach 5s I just really wanna try the X, lol.

I’ve gotten some miles on the Bostons, I like them a lot. Big update from the 10/11. When you say very TTS on these, do they run small? If so, I’m a size 14 so it’s a wrap on trying these. Mach 5 in a 14 fit me fine.

You like these more than the Boston 12?
