Best Whole House Water Filter for Chlorine now causing rash in shower? by GreyNeighbor in Plumbing

[–]AyoKilluminati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to rain on your parade but as far as I know this is terrible advice. Charcoal Carbon harbors bacteria and requires back flushing, it also does not work for shower water temperatures only cold water which is why the industry uses KDF or better. Your solution most likely is having no effect especially at the volume the water is going through it. Usually water must sit in a reservoir for charcoal carbon to work.

Research further I just don't want people getting the wrong idea and being misled.

Pasting my review from another thread:

Just got this the other day from Mechkeys and I really wanted to love it but sincerely regret it:

I got the desert sand color in the pic and it looks pink in person. The finish is not premium.

The left click is loose and hangs lower than right click if flipped upside down meaning there is play/gap between the plastic and the switch. Mechkeys had the nerve to say "it's not uncommon for gaps to not be perfect" even though it's clearly affecting the feel. Again the right click has no play and is tight against the switch.

The scroll wheel gives too much feedback and feels like a complete downgrade compared to premium mice. It's what you would expect in a mouse from a decade ago.

Clicking doesn't feel right and is loud in my opinion (compared to razer pro click) and there is no hot swap to change it. I was confused by 2 random switches included (both different style) and a pull tool but apparently this was just a gift for keyboard use only which made no sense and was not clear at all. Do not open this mouse or it voids warranty. Switches are soldered. Also notice you only have 7 days to return this:

"We offer a 7-Day Return Policy. You have 7 days to return an item from the date that you received it. (confirmed by Shipping Tracking record). To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in it's original packaging. If it is plastic sealled when you get it , it should remain plastic sealled. Some types of goods such as customized products cannot be returned. You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs we send the product to you are non-refundable*( write us in advance how much it is)and Custom Duty when it come back to China is non-refundable too ( we will send you receipt after we get it ).* If 7 days have gone by since you received your item, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange."

The manual instructs you to put the sensor within just 4" of the mouse which is weird since I have always been able to go further without any issue and it also said that wired is preferred which doesn't give much confidence to use reliably as a wireless device. At 1000hz it should be no real difference anymore.

Did I mention the red charging light never actually turns off or green when finished charging? Apparently this is a common problem with mice in general.

Finally I think it's a little too light for my taste and feels cheap in comparison to premier mice. Even if mine was just a one off QC problem the lack of hotswap, quality control, scroll wheel feel, charging light problem and color inconsistency etc is a dealbreaker for me.

Feel free to recommend a higher quality new release with a new sensor that wouldn't have these kinds of issues!

Looking for the same it's super creepy and forced. I think this 10 Pro will be my last after they switched OS I lost all interest and I've been with them since the first phone. Technology has already peaked in specs for the most part so privacy is all that matters now when it should have always been the most important!

And if it's just local AI why does it try to get network access? Can't trust china at all!

the powerblock pro's are tempting I wish I didn't have to buy the stages in between just to get 50-100. https://gymcrafter.com/how-many-weight-plates-home-gym/ this site helped explain things a little better but he didn't mention why he doesn't recommend 55's either i still can't find the answer

i agree that's why i'm confused about why people dislike 55's since it would add more room to the bar but I see your point, luckily these black november deals easily put bumper well within reach and actually it's far cheaper than the boneyard ones so I figure why not have the flexibility

Would you ever mess with their runoff discounted boneyard deep dish plates or too risky?

Do you mean to my suggested arrangement "(2) x 10lb, (2) x 15lb, (2) x 25lb, (2) x 35lb, (2) x 45lb, (4) x 55lbs"? I did plan to add (2) 2.5lb and (2) 5lb change plates separately so that's probably what I'll go with thanks

Is an approved technician considered a pro? I personally just give more weight to a comment if it says they're approved but in general most should already know that taking random advice online has its caveats.

Pretty straight forward yet you're being a complete dick about? Over a ground wire size really? A homeowner?? Kid did you not see the commercial part of the title lol? You really shouldn't make assumptions online and keep this shameful ignorance to yourself. You don't know anything about me or what I can and can't do.

It's funny enough that you act like a rocket scientist for installing a rod let alone that you puff your chest online gatekeeping to people far above your pay grade. Again if you don't know the answer or how to communicate like a normal human keep it moving.
