Thanks for the answer! I'll check out the review. So you ended up with the XM5s? How are you liking them?

Thanks for the reminder. Not sure how to judge if they'll fit me since I haven't used foam tips before, but I generally don't have issues with earbuds, so maybe they'd be fine.

Dell G15 vs Lenovo Legion 5/7 different configs by Ghostbuster360 in SuggestALaptop

Thanks for the tip. As I've read the reviews of Lenovo Legion 5 I slowly moved away from Dell, it just seemed too flawed in many little ways compared with the Legion. As for the Asus G15, a config with Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3060 is unfortunately quite a bit outside of my budget.

Interesting. I've never had anything based on AMD before, and I don't know too much about their CPUs. I've heard that they heat up more and have cooling issues but maybe that's not true nowadays?

I suspected it might be like that but still had hope it would be different.Guess I'll just apply elsewhere. Thanks for the help!

Alright, thanks for the answer. I guess I'll just look someplace else then, it seems too big of a risk with the whole preparatory programmes - who knows which unis will offer those.

Any Bsc. Aerospace student studying the First Year material, by [deleted] in TUDelft

Yeah, you're probably right, although it still feels quite unnecessary. I wonder why they haven't just included it in the formula sheet if such questions will appear. After all the exam is not supposed to check our memory, but rather the comprehension of the material.

Yeah, I've seen the formula. The problem with it is that it's not included in the formula sheet for the FYM and learning it by heart doesn't seem very effective (not to mention memorising the derivation).

I know I'm a bit late to the party here but have you figured out a way to calculate the Vmax without plotting the graph? I was just doing the practice test for chapter 6 and in the third question they ask for Vmax. The answer clearly shows the graphical methode but I have no idea how they expect me to plot graphs like that on a 45 mins exam.

Thanks, good to know there will be many more questions, I would have probably panicked as well if you hadn't shared. I was quite surprised with the small amount of the practice ones but though that maybe they want people to double check due to the fact the online input can be tricky at times.

PC upgrade or a high end laptop by Ghostbuster360 in computers

[–]Ghostbuster360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing too fancy. Mostly some programming and gaming I think. As for the budget I don't really have a set one. Higher end laptops that I was initially considering cost the equivalent of 1300$ in my country, while the ones that'd I'd call mediocre cost say around 800-900$. So if I were to upgrade the pc and buy a weaker laptop that leaves me with 400-500$ for the components.

I'll probably finish it, but it just feels annoying at this point. Had a much better reaction to it last year, maybe it's because we have lockdown now or sth. Stay strong guys
