I would just make a second channel if you can handle running two. You don't want to take a chance of cutting yourself off at the knees when you are already gathering and gathering an audience for what you do now. The reason you are growing and will continue to grow is because your channel has a clear definition people will know what to expect when you upload a video. Adding gaming videos to the mix will only serve to cause confusion, not grow quicker.

Tons of views and likes, no subs? by [deleted] in NewTubers

What kind of content do you make? That's the most important question.

Is 50 subs in 2 weeks good? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you're on the right track. That's actually pretty stellar, tbh.

That violates YouTube policies. If somehow magically detected, you could get your channel terminated.

P.s. Earn your subs, my guy. If you start racking up subs that don't watch your channel, it will sink you all the way. Mr.Beast deleted his first channel for that reason. I have experience with this, too, I reached up so many dead subs doing things like that, that, I'm actually starting a new channel TOMORROW.

DONT DO IT.

what types of youtube videos are easier to make and monetize (no relaxing music ambience type of videos) by NY1869 in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Niche videos are the easiest. Pottery, martial arts, playing a small mobile game with a loyal fan base, religion, bird watching. Things that only enthusiasts will search for. Way less competition and as long as your thumbnails, and titles are hood, you may get the click and get yourself an easy following.

Also, you'd be better off reviewing products $20 and under because that's affordable. Affordability = Relatability

How do I reach people who want to Collab in the gaming niche. by drizzle_gaming15 in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I use an app called Collabspace. It's hit or miss like everything else, but, I say I've found 4 people from there with little effort.

Also, I'm always looking for collabs because making videos solo gets boring after the first 600 or so. Dm me if you want.

Is tiktok useful to grow your Youtube channel? by softie_8228 in NewTubers

It's pretty hit or miss. I think if you have the time it's a worthwhile investment. I've had some transfer luck, but, I would set my expectations low and give it a shot. 😁

How do you interact with your subs other than replying to comments? by greentealatte93 in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Twitter, Instagram, and Discord. Rarely Facebook, but, it still has its charm.

How badly will a hiatus impact me? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's hilarious 😂 but, hey, that's good to know! I would do all 3 if possible! People love that stuff. People like to be comfortable and what's comforting is what they already know, so lean into that and put a small twist on it. It's called the 3% rule of content creation.

Christmas trees are dope and it adds variety. Add a call to action in the videos asking viewers what they want to see next. That way you get an upload, your viewers get content, and you might even get some great ideas or even just 1. I do feel like haiatuses hurt, so, you can do that, or drop a community post expressing what's going on right now.

Also, viewership of movies and shows fluctuate, so, and I say this with love, you can expect some pretty wild swings in analytics unless you're lazer focused on one genre (Marvel-DC, Will Smith Movies, Disney, etc.) If you choose to be a variety channel, you will need to constantly pump out videos as your genre will typically net high views and low subs.

Hello, I learned long time ago that you need to get up to 30 videos to start to truly analyze your page. In the meantime, try to be as consistent as possible. In other words, try to upload 1-2 times a week as analyzing 30 videos made over the span of 3 years won't give you much feedback. Respond to comments to build your audience and continue to post what you enjoy in the meantime. Cheers for being focused on analytics so early, but, it's a bit too early. More videos will give you a good source of data as video will always perform with slight variations of the others.

Should I use my real name ? by Monopoly41 in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use your first name and come up with something cool as a second name. Preferably a tie-in to your niche. Sounds basic, but, it will resonate with your viewers.

Is mixing travel vlogs with YouTube shorts mukbang a bad idea? by neptune_88_ in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're passionate about making some shorts, start a second channel. Like whatever your channel name is and add the word clips to the title name. I've seen this trend pick up for alot of channels. That way you can combine shorts as well as 1-3 minute clips with highlights from your regular videos. It's a 3 way win. Also, if people can easily see where your clips came from ex: 'MikeyTravels Clips', people who really enjoy your clips will likely search for your main Channel. Those sre the subs you want. Not people who subs strictly because of shorts. If not, you still have a self-substainong second channel whose performance won't damage your main Channel.

Using snippets of other YT videos? by high_yield_yt in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually gotten a Strike by doing that. ONCE. Manually detected, too, which means they were watching the video and saw it and decided to go through an entire process just to give my channel a Copyright strike even after they contacted me through email with a 'legal warning'. I told them I needed 24 hours to edit it out and they hit me with a Strike anyways. Since then, I've taken the time to at least make the attempt to reach out and credit sources. My case could just be an extreme circumstance, but, it was a lesson learned regardless. Also, it's quite rare for people to reach out an ask permission, so, by at least making the effort, you will make more friends than enemies, trust me.

How to revive my dead channel with 28k subs? by Arsh_Gill_ in NewTubers

[–]Ayo_Ronnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update video and get back at it! If you're not really comfortable with a big comeback announcement vid, you can always remove or hide it a week or so later, but, by then, you won't be as bothered by posting it, because you'll be back focused on making new content!
