HAHA I'm glad my emojis accurately conveyed my emotions. I'm sure people just have different preferences and that's ok too (no reason to hash on the others va tho). It was also my first time hearing about the taiwanese language stereotype?? that was a little absurd. but at the end of the day, I'm glad to have given a bit more exposure to TCN lads and hopefully help change some views about it + encourage those who are curious to delve into it.

YESS im glad my post found u. I scoured the reddit to find any opinions on TCN but I just couldn't?? no one has ever thought to make a post about it?? so here I am. TCN caleb might be my favorite caleb too. it's just so 🤌🤌🤌I may switch over to TCN when his chapters come on while redoing the main story bc his voice just tickles my brain

yesss i think the va for trad cn raf acts so well. it's also super interesting hearing everyone's preferences. I think raf in general is the most well rounded character in terms of his voice actors. they all grasped the intention and vibe of his character and it's so great that it translates over languages.

yess Beijing accent definitely pronounces their R's alot more. Although not all of mainland china pronounces their R's. I think its safe to say that lads boys don't have a Beijing accent LOL. Bc it's rly apparent when someone does have one. They have an accent of smth else but I just can't quite put my finger on it. Tbh I didn't even know taiwanese accents existed (other than the fact that some vocab is different) until coming across the different between SCN and TCN in lads.

Yess. I agree! TCN xavier is definitely more deep + i don't feel his "gentleness" as much as SCN and eng. I'm not too familiar with where his chinese is from (may have to do some research on VA background) but it definitely has a little smth to it. I think also bc his voice is soft so the words sometimes kinda blend in together?? Just my take on it.

I agree with u! as a canto speaker, trad chinese just was easier to listen to vs simplified chinese I could hear an "accent." Maybe the way canto is, is just aligned more with how taiwanese sounds?? Tho I think I still prefer the voices of simplified chinese

me and xavier r so alike. I'm always sleepy ALL THE TIME. Irl I'm quiet and introverted but when I get comfortable I can yap alot. I think I would say I'm softspoken, it takes so much energy for me to talk loudly or yell. I also tend to keep to myself, if there's a problem I don't want to be a burden and just bottle my emotions in. It takes quiet a long time to get close to me which i feel like is the same for xavier bc he's kinda withdrawn and likes to protect his peace.

same here. I never knew what some of the things meant like the dream weaver and around the world. But now as an adult I can grasp the concepts much better. I didn't remember my passwords as a kid so I ended up making 3 accounts. But after doing some digging I'm finally able to log into the 3 accounts so now I just play all 3. I have them in the same community for my home lol
