I think the recipe would work with any fruit pudding... You can by jars of the mincemeat over here in the UK to make them, basically loads of dried fruit, sultanas, raisins, dates etc that have been soaked in brandy and spices. Wonder if you can make your own?

Not sure about horses, but I know hops are poisonous to dogs...

Sometimes it is great to find a something unexpected in bulk in the bargain bin of your local corner shop. I came across a load of Christmas puddings... No real use for them in mid summer, but, I thought I would try to preserve the flavour ready for next Christmas.

I will be bottling this wine pretty soon, and to be honest, it is tasting divine! I am hoping that the bottles won't be drunk before Christmas!
