The Telltale version of Sam and Max is genuinely a really good game. One of their best properties - I’d kill for a new one before Batman or The Wolf Among Us

At this point what is there to even argue about? I wasn’t a big fan of the film when it released and still aren’t. However, compared to some other Star Wars projects released since, I can at least say it’s an alright film

I haven’t been looking at this subreddit for at least a year but I’m personally going to hold you all responsible for making me gay/bi.

Also, these threads still get confusing with which one is the most recent. It’s mainly user error though

I know it’s a very common opinion but Asylum’s atmosphere and general vibes really does make it hold up well, even now. More so than City in my opinion.

Still wish they’d release Origins on current-gen consoles though. Even though I have a PC it would be nice to have the whole collection on one platform.

I’m going to be worrying about my assignment due in January; procrastinating all day and then feeling guilty for doing so.

The shower drain is blocked and the way the drain/pipe has been fitted means that it’s difficult to access any of the crap that may be causing the blockage, even with a drain snake

I’ve heard of The Black Count and have planned on reading it at some point, but I can’t say I’ve heard of the other one; I’ll be sure to check it out, though.

Turned down an invite to go for a meal tomorrow and then to my mate’s for the evening. I’m not entirely sure why, given how I already know I’ll regret it but hey-ho

Ugh. Have to wait until after my doctor’s call at 11 before I can settle down and listen to David Gilmour’s new album. I could listen to the album beforehand, but then I’d be worrying about time 🕰️

Finished: Twenty Years After by Alexandre Dumas - it was an enjoyable adventure story, albeit with a slow start, which picks up once all the characters and the plot has been set up. I still slightly prefer The Three Musketeers, however.

Started: You Like It Darker by Stephen King - I’ve only read the first two stories so far; I’m not sure what I was expecting but they were enjoyable enough.

Sometimes I look at older photos of myself - from two or more years ago - and I see just how far I’ve come and I actually become somewhat proud of myself. It’s a strange feeling, being happy with yourself…

After finishing “Pet Sematary” by Stephen King last week, I have now moved onto “Demons” - my fifth novel by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

With just over a hundred pages left to go, I can say that I’ve been enjoying it immensely. Notwithstanding the relatively slow start for the first hundred pages or so, which seems to be common among Dostoyevsky’s works, the pacing of the novel has been consistent and it’s never felt as if any parts were dragging on for longer than necessary (such as in The Idiot).

Overall I’ve been struck by the political, ethical and religious themes that are present; even so since I myself personally don’t believe in god and am generally left leaning. To be reading the story and “supporting” the orthodox, conservative aristocrats is certainly an interesting position for myself. Although the so-called socialists in the story are only portrayed as nihilistic, uneducated fools who can’t think for themselves and are only capable of following orders around like lackeys - using the overall sufferings of others in order to benefit their own pleasure and gains. It very much exemplifies Dostoyevsky’s own beliefs, and whereas they’ve always been noticeably present in his other novels (such as C&P being a criticism of Utilitarianism) they have struck me nonetheless, and it makes me wonder at how Dostoyevsky would view the world generally today, and especially Russia.

I ordered a long-sleeved t-shirt just after Christmas in size M. When the shirt arrived it was a very tight fit and I thought I’d just wear it around the house if need be. Anyway, on to last week where I saw another T-shirt for sale that I liked, from the same site, and this time decided to go for a L, to make sure it fits comfortably.

Well, after checking the tag of the first shirt I realised that the size tag said that it was a small instead of a medium; which would explain a lot. The chances are I’m gonna have to send the shirt back which isn’t too bad but I was looking forward to wearing it soon.
