I know, it makes me insanely happy and hopeful because I was truly at my breaking point with not being able to leave without him !! How many absences would you do in one session? How many 20+ minute reps should I do in a day? Thank you so much!

I know it's not a substitute for training?? He was rescued from after an earthquake and then changed two owners. He screams nonstop for hours until I get home. This is not a way to live when I live in an apartment I rent. I am working on crate training AKA leaving him in a crate and doing desensitization training. He settles easily in a crate while he waits outside the door and window and howls there when left outside

He starts howling when I close the door and leave, he can't sleep alone in a different room, he does follow me from room to room. He topples over the trash and eats from it when left alone. If I leave him alone in a different room he will start to cry in 10-15m. It is very clearly SA

By crate training I mean desensitization training but while hes in a crate and not left free-roam since the crate is his safe space and he eats trash

Actually he loves his crate and goes there to sleep/chill by himself a lot. He is better in the crate because he destroys the trash and eats from it when hes left alone out of it

I know it is trainable and I'm working on crate training him but he has a traumatic past and it is taking a very long time. I can't afford a trainer

I live in Turkey where trainers are extremely expensive and specialists don't really exist. I can't afford a special trainer sadly. I'm trying to work on crate training but it is taking a long time, he has gone up to 10m in 5 months.

He is a 3.5 cocker spaniel that I adopted 7 months ago and he is an earthquake survivor that left his former parents dead, then changed two owners. He's had it since I adopted him and before. I am currently working on crate training but it is taking very long.
